Docking Bay 7 is a quick-service restaurant with indoor seating at Galaxy's Edge, and it hasn't disappointed. The decor and atmosphere are one of the main reasons to come and take a load off while enjoying some Batuu grub. Magic Key pass holder discounts apply.
I've often dined at this location, and the food and drink offerings are delicious and satisfying. The menu has some tasty regular items as well as seasonal offerings. Currently, the food options could satisfy most appetites and allergy-conscious diners. For the current menu and mobile ordering, check the Disneyland app.
Recent entrées I've tried: • Kublag Curry is a flavorful and mild curry rice entrée with shrimp. I ate this all up! • Fried Chicken Baos are delicious, crispy, and tender. Big pieces of chicken. • Endorian Fried Chicken Tip-Yip is a regular item on the menu. Crispy fried chicken with mash and gravy. It is enjoyable and filling. • Cold Brew Black Cafe is my favorite cold brew beverage in Disneyland!
Cold Brew Black Cafe mixes cold brew coffee, almond milk, and chocolate puffs. Surprisingly, the ingredients work well together. The other specialty drinks on the menu are good refreshing options, like the Phattro, unsweetened iced tea flavored with lemonade, and desert pear. If you have a sweet tooth, desserts are also available.
The dining area will get crowded, so be patient. There's indoor and outdoor/patio seating. The staff is friendly and comes around regularly to ensure the area is...
Read moreI’m sorry I know it’s a big corporate themed restaurant but it truly is that good. The food at Disney has always varied from super fast foody to more casual fare but Galaxy’s Edge really ups the ante. The food here has clearly been conceptualized to fit within the theme of being “in world”. A piece of fried chicken is “Endorian Tip Yip” and so on. Presentation of the food as well is so well done. And while it make look appetizing it also tastes really really good for being simple riffs on traditional American food. You essentially get things like ribs, fried chicken, meatballs, salads and so on. I personally love the Impossible meatballs with hummus and pita. The dessert options are few but also beautifully made and tasty.
Portions of the food in general are very good. You don’t feel too cheated out by the typical Disney prices (though park discounts help) Ambience wise you’re inside a dock of course but while it’s all very on brand it’s not the most comfortable. That said, UX design of such places are meant for you to eat and go not lag around so more people can come in and I respect that. I will add that while I love ordering the mixed juice drinks, they are a bit on the sweeter side, and while there are vegan options I wish the cold brew had one too. But understandably like many cream top coffee drinks, the cream is prebatched and made of dairy. Nothing too bad.
Highly recommend trying this restaurant even if you’re not...
Read moreI'm a fan of Docking Bay 7 Food & Cargo. They offered some tasty dishes in a great atmosphere...
DB7FC Ambiance & Service: The ordering process was efficient and easy. The menu is posted clearly on the monitors above the cashiers and there are multiple cashiers to take your order. The Star Wars docking bay theme is on point and makes for some great social media posts. The attention to detail on the decor makes the dining area feel like a scene from any of the movies. Very impressive. There's indoor and outdoor seating and tables are a premium just like any sit down resto in Disney.
DB7FC Grindage: I had the pot roast and was surprisingly tastier than I expected. The seasoning was flavorful and the pasta was on point. I tired the Vegan homie's plant based meatballs with pita bread and it too was tasty. Everyone in our party of 12 enjoyed their dishes.
Overall, this is a great place to take a break for a sit down meal at Star Wars Galaxy's edge in Disney. The pricing is Disney pricing, but you knew that as soon as you walked into the park.lol My next visit here to Disney will most likely have a planned stop at Docking Bay 7 because of this experience. May the Force...
