If I could give a NEGATIVE star rating, I WOULD!!!! I booked reservations for the Fantasmic Dining Package this past Sunday. We arrived and didn’t see anything about checking in for our reservations before entering the restaurant. When we went into the restaurant we were waiting for help and no one was around. Finally after 15 minutes we found an employee and she told us to go back outside, check-in is out front. After check-in, we were told to go back inside to where we were originally and again no one was around to check in with. We did not understand what we needed to do in regard to getting our meals. I parked my daughter’s stroller on a corner wall out of the way to look for someone to help us. Finally a woman came out and I asked her politely what we needed to do. She told me rudely to follow the green tape. I looked at the tape on the floor and it made absolutely no sense. I asked her politely to please clarify exactly what we needed to do and she got an even worse attitude, throwing me dirty looks, talking to me rude and started yelling at me because my stroller was against the wall, saying “That my stroller was in the way of employees” yet there were no employees to be found and it wasn’t. I was very polite until this point. My uncle, whom I invited along for dinner and added to our reservation stepped in because he was also upset and saw the way this employee was talking to me. The employee told my uncle rudely what we needed to do to get our food. We got our meals and went out on the patio to eat. The food was not even good, no employees around to help, and the disrespectful little girl with the attitude made it a HORRIBLE experience. I will NEVER go back to this place and I HIGHLY recommend others to not even waste their time or money here. After dinner my uncle found management and talk to them about how we were treated. He was so upset and felt so disrespected. Huge was of money...
Read moreMy husband and I really enjoy the chicken tostada here so we decided to go after I finished work for Tostada Tuesday. Their tostada salad is good sized and is totally shareable. There's a cilantro-lime salad dressing that is added by the cast member - but I don't really care for it - it's kind of sweet and doesn't go well with the salad, so I ask them to put it on the side or just leave it off. (*Somwtimes the cast member can get a bit heavy handed when adding the dressing - and it's just too much!) You get a choice of either chicken or beef, then it also has Mexican rice, refried beans, lettuce, sour cream, guacamole, pico de gallo, and cotija cheese and all of that is in a crispy flour tortilla shell, which I like to break off pieces and dip it in the beans and rice - YUM!!
We also got the Mickey Succulent Parfait - real sweet but tasty. After eating the tostada, we almost weren't able to finish the dessert.
It was pretty chilly because we had gotten to Disneyland a little late, but fortunately, we found a table in the covered area of the patio, and I was so happy to see there were heaters. Those heaters were life-savers!!
This spot is one of our favorites - and now that I know they have the heaters, that's an extra thumbs-up!!
*Just a side note, their Cinnamon Crisps are a delicious snack! Pick up a bag - they make a great snackie when you feel like a little sweet something while walking...
Read moreI visit Rancho del Zocolo when new items are introduced during the season or special events take place. I wouldn't consider the food "authentic Mexican," but if you enjoy trying new foods inspired by Mexican cuisine, it's worth a try. The ordering process is cafeteria-style. You order from one of the staff members, who prepares the dishes. There are also grab-and-go snacks, along with a variety of fountain and bottled drinks. You then pay at the cashier. The portion sizes are decent to generous.
My most recent visit was for lunch, and the menu featured some seasonal items, including those in celebration of the 70th Anniversary, which I enjoyed. The Shrimp Ceviche had a refreshing taste with a spicy kick--a good item to share. The Fried Tamale Walking Taco was unique with bold flavors. My family also enjoyed the Chicken Caesar Salad and Sonoma Burrito Bowl.
The Iced Cafe de Olla and Cucumber Lime Agua Frescas were both refreshing and not overly sweet drink options. Desserts and snacks are also available.
There are plenty of patio seats with shade, as well as some indoor seating options. It's a great place to relax. The staff have been kind and helped with your used trays and plates. They keep the area clean and tidy.
Mobile ordering is not offered at this restaurant, but the line moves pretty quickly. Magic Key pass holders also redeem their...
