Went to the property for a three night stay. There were maybe two other guests at the hotel for the duration of our stay, not busy at all. Checked in and was given a room that was very subpar and under construction. Upon entering the carpet was very dirty, the walls were still plastered and not fully painted, the toilet seat was broken and unable to be attached, the toilet paper was about a half used roll and there was no way to take a bath as there was no plug. I went to the front desk and had the manager come take a look. We got another room and it was nicer. We went to Disneyland the next morning and left the do not disturb sign on the door and a light on along with the air conditioner on low as it was very warm and we did not want to return to a hot room later on. We returned and found the light and air completely turned off. Obviously someone had been in our room. Since we were not totally sure and wanted to give the hotel the benefit of the doubt and nothing was taken we did not say anything but decided to find out for sure the next day. The next day when we left we did the same. We left the do not disturb sign on the door and the light and air conditioning on low as we had the morning before. I also left $230 in my bag in a pocket unzipped as a ploy to find out. When we returned the light was out, the AC was off and lo and behold the money was missing. I went down to the desk and confronted the clerk. The clerk admitted somebody went into the room and turned things off. The clerk said they do that in case we may have left an iron on. At this point I asked about the money and got no response. I called the police and had them come out and make a report. When questioning the hotel manager the policeman said again they admitted going into the room but this time their excuse was the Las Vegas hotel massacre of 2017 had something to do with their policy of entering a room when you are not there. Neither I nor the police quite understood the logic. Needless to say I left and stayed somewhere else that night. I have filed a criminal complaint about the missing money and we will see where that goes. So beware as this story is backed up by a police report and we will be in litigation for the stolen money. If this is what you want to deal with then stay here...
Read moreWe stayed 1 night. The man at the front desk was pleasant. The hotel/motel doesn’t have a lot of rooms and is nestled between 2 other hotels by the freeway. The pool looked cute but we didn’t use it. Supposedly you can see the Disneyland Fireworks over the pool.
Our room was ~$93 including taxes, but I saw online it could get closer to $175. I am really surprised at rates and what’s offered for the theme park areas of town.
The room was a peculiar setup. The tv was far from the beds with a lot of space in the middle. We used our glasses to watch it. I saw room pics with a partial wall, which would have worked great in that room with some more planning. Also, there was no balcony furniture, which would have been nice.
The place was decent and has lots of potential to be great.
Pros …… Location, we were there for Knotts Scary Farm
Room rate
Balcony
Clean bathroom & sheets
Fridge/Microwave
Window that opens
Cons …… Floor shakes when people walk by, even when you’re on the top floor
People smoking outside the balcony
Carpet had a bad smell and stains; would be easier for cleaning if there were hardwood or laminate floors.
Bathroom fan was abnormally loud and always came on when the bathroom light was on.
No conditioner or lotion as amenities; just shampoo and soap. We were pressed for time so running to the store wasn’t an option.
The only coffee was at the front desk (no tea or decaf coffee), which wasn’t always open. Their website says all day coffee & tea.
There was no breakfast, although their website mentions this.
Because I asked about front desk hours, the kind front desk clerk told me that I needed to go next door to Days Inn if their office was ever closed. It ended up being closed Sunday morning. Signs are posted, but I am glad I was told this.
Ice Machine wasn’t working.
My boyfriend got locked out of the room for 5 minutes while I was in the bathroom. Because of the time change, our keys stopped working 1 hour too early. The keys should have been made to expire at 12pm so that they actually stopped...
Read moreMy experience may be different than yours. I will start with, Disneyland is a 30 minute walk from this hotel NOT 10 minutes like it is said online. Perhaps 10 minutes to employee parking lot. I have to be honest about this place, it was not the best experience for the money this was worse than a beat up motel. Many years later and still NO coffee pot in the room we need coffee for for one and there was no free breakfast there but I was told I can get free breakfast at Holiday Inn, however, by the time I hit there at 7am it was all gone. I asked for a room with balcony facing Disneyland as that is what it said online. I asked the front desk man if I got balcony facing Disneyland and he replied yes yes. My balcony faced the parking lot and Holiday inn was right in front of my room door so no view. Room was less than basic, one trash can, my toilet paper was not even changed I arrived to a used toilet paper roll almost all out. Room extremely hot when arrived I had to tun on AC and wait a while till it cooled the room. Ice machine was not working which management did not take the time to even put a sign that said out of service go to holiday inn to use machine. I went to the office and that’s what I was told to do! At that point you should go get the ice for your guest. Do to the location and traffic, I had a hard time sleeping do to cars honking and having road rage. I am now staying at Rivera Motel which was cheaper and I can honestly say it’s 100 percent better than this place.. much closer to Disneyland. Nicer room. Good size. Two trash cans and a nice big bathroom....
