We came here for a belated birthday celebration, picked by the birthday boy. Our part of 6 had a reservation for 7:30. My boyfriend and I arrived there first and told the hostess. She proceeded to look for the reservation. It seemed like she was unable to locate it and decided to seat us at the worst possible table in the restaurant. This table was probably a fire hazard as if my whole party was there, we would have blocked another table from leaving anywhere. It was also next to a door where staff were walking in and out of. We sat there for about 20min waiting for the rest of our party. Based on those 20 minutes, we could tell the service was going to be bad. But how bad we were about to find out. The rest of our party arrived and saw the state of our table and asked to be seated elsewhere. We were then moved to another table. We sat there just about ready order and tried to get a servers attention. Nobody came. The table next to us said we would need to yell. We got the attention of a server, and he said he'll call someone over. We waited again and nobody came. Tracked down another person and told them we were ready to order. She turned around and never came back. By this time, we were all hangry. The birthday boy said we could order at the counter and just bring the food to the table. He went up to the counter and proceeded to order food and said this for here. The staff there told him he couldn't order and take it to the table, we would need to wait for a waiter. They refused to let us order and said he'll send someone to our table. We tried 3x to order food, and by this time, it was 8:30. We gave them another 10min to rectify the situation and decided this was ridiculous. Our whole party got up and left the restaurant. We even told the staff we were leaving, they did not care. It is unfortunate for a supposedly good food place to have such horrible service. Considering this place has been open for 3 months they really need to get their shit together, only half the restaurant gets any service. The other half just gets left...

I typically don’t leave reviews, especially negative ones, but my experience at Kababji in Anaheim was so upsetting that I feel morally obligated to share.
We were a party of 6 and waited over 20 minutes just to be seated, even though there were open tables. The hostess had a visibly unpleasant attitude, making us feel like an inconvenience. After finally being seated, we waited another 30 minutes just to receive menus, followed by another 15-minute wait just to place our order. Despite repeatedly asking, we were only given two waters for six people, and no one came to clear our table even once during the entire meal.
What truly pushed this experience into the realm of disgusting was the condition of the bathroom. The first time we went in, there was urine on the toilet, no toilet seat covers, no soap, no toilet paper, an overflowing trash bin, and no paper towels. I had to leave my child in the stall just to ask the staff for help — only to be met with: “Oh, the bathroom is usually like that on weekends.” They handed us the same napkins used at the table to use in the bathroom.
I was ready to let it go — until the second time. This time, there was actual human feces on the floor. I took pictures because I couldn’t believe it. It was absolutely the most horrifying restaurant bathroom I’ve ever seen in my life.
As an Arab, as a Middle Easterner, I value hospitality, cleanliness, and respect when welcoming people into my home — and I expect that same level of dignity when I dine at a restaurant that represents our culture. Kababji failed us on all fronts: service, hygiene, and hospitality.
I will never return, and I will make sure others are warned before having to experience what we did. Good food cannot excuse deplorable cleanliness and unacceptable...

I visited Kababji Anaheim for dinner with a friend, having previously enjoyed great food and service at the original Kababji restaurant across the street. Unfortunately, this visit turned out to be quite disappointing.
We ordered dinner and a hookah — specifically Al Fakher Blueberry Mint, as the menu clearly listed Starbuzz and Al Fakher as the only available brands. However, the first puff made it obvious that the flavor wasn’t Al Fakher. When I politely questioned the hookah master, he admitted that they didn’t have Al Fakher and had served Mazaya instead — a brand not even mentioned on the menu. This felt misleading and unprofessional.
It took about 35 minutes to receive our food, which was a bit longer than expected but manageable. Afterward, we ordered a single-serving Kunafa, but the lady taking our order brought out a portion meant for four people — completely opposite to what we had asked. What’s worse, they took 40 minutes for that dessert to serve. Despite the mix-up, we didn’t cancel out of courtesy.
Although the manager did come over and apologize for the hookah issue, there was no compensation or refund offered for either the incorrect hookah or the wrongly served Kunafa. For a restaurant trying to compete with its well-established predecessor, this experience lacked both quality control and customer service.
Sadly, I won’t be returning to this location and would recommend others to think twice before visiting — especially if you’re expecting the same standard as the...
