I finally got the chance to check this place out last night and I think my fellow Yelpers may have overhyped it just a tad. The food is definitely good, but I was expecting the Ferrari of chicken/beef bowl places for some reason. I ordered the beef and chicken combination plate which I thought that would be a good start especially from the other recommendations on Yelp. It came with a side salad, 1 veggie eggroll and 1 gyoza (chicken?) and two little cups of their teriyaki sauce. Not bad for a little over $13! Definitely could've used more sauce though and probably a few more scoops of green onions too. Most of the beef pieces were tender and flavorful but I did have a few chewy pieces. The chicken skin took a little getting used to but it wasn't bad. There are plenty of outdoor seating even at dinner time.
Tip - the easiest way to enter the parking lot is to drive down the alley behind the liquor store. There will be an opening into...
Read moreYou know I got to admit this is a fusion between Asian and a little bit of Mexican food because they have teriyaki chicken pork and beef. You can also get shrimp and I believe fish but it is very different than just an Asian restaurant oh, so I believe it's a fusion of both cuisines. Nevertheless my wife and I chose to eat here this Friday evening because we were looking for something a little bit different. My parents have always recommended this spot and we live close by but we never actually went to it. So today was the day that we were going to go ahead and try something different; today we decided to go ahead and get a teriyaki chicken bowl and the teriyaki pork Bowl. My wife tried the pork teriyaki bowl and had some of my chicken teriyaki bowl and she was amazed. My wife said that this has been one of the best teriyaki bowl places that she's been too and I also agree I felt that my chicken teriyaki bowl was amazing!...
Read moreI came into it having high expectations for the food based on the reviews. Honestly, it tasted pretty average to me. It was good, but felt like I could get something similar at a Panda Express. Perhaps the beef wasn’t the way to go?
Service was straightforward, and cash only. An ATM is available at this location if you forget. There was also an outdoor patio area to sit at which was nice. I’d recommend bringing your own wipes as the tables can get sticky from all the sauce (if that sort of thing bothers you). Good horchata, large portions, and the food came out fairly quickly.
Given the vast availability and quality of Asian cuisine in LA, I’m not sure I would come back to this particular spot over trying...
