Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Andalusia

I must say I am very disappointed. I have been wanting church's chicken for a minute and where I live we no longer have it. So when I come to Andalusia I get excited. I tried this particular restaurant and was disappointed 2 times. The first time I thought because we got here later and it was about to close, that's the reason it wasn't really good and their oven was broke so no biscuits.....keep in mind that was 2 years ago. Fast forward to Friday. We gets to the restaurant at a great time. No biscuits because the oven was broke......we had to wait for the chicken because they had to drop some fresh because of the order. Which was fine. The chicken was BLAND and it did not taste like the signature church's chicken taste. It was HORRIBLE. We had gotten the spicy rice and it was mushy, the peppers were too soft, it barely kept its shape as a pepper. When it hit your mouth it just dissolve. The 1/2 gallon of tea and 1/2 gallon of hi ci fruit punch, the ketchup, hot sauce and believe it or not the rolls were the only thing that was good. I am so upset with this restaurant. The customer service was outstanding and the worker were so friendly. They just got to get their chicken some FLAVOR. THATS...

I've always heard everything is bigger in Texas. Well in the case if this church's the only thing big is the bill. COB used to be my favorite sandwich. Now you get a dry chicken tender sandwich. I often have had lunch here in the past. An order of okra was plenty for me for lunch. Now you barely get five little bits of it. And less than a table spoon of potatoes. The way they yell the orders will give you a headache while you are trying to eat. The condiments offered for tenders are scarce to say the least. For the area I must say the restaurant was decently clean. I would hope so being newly renovated. There was a discrepancy with a customer's order while we were dining. The person whom the order was for sent someone back because it was incorrect and more than one employee was utterly rude about the situation. It is absolutely ridiculous how incompetent the employees are at this establishment. I ordered two 12 PC meals and didn't receive half of the chicken and biscuits, they focused on the sides and that was all. I was on vacation visiting a friend and had never been to a church's chicken before and wasn't sure what to expect when it came to everything being bagged up. Fortunately this location is about 5 minutes from my friends home and I called them immediately when I realized what was missing. They received two stars because the missing food was ready when I returned. One of the employees was in the parking lot with friends when I arrived and said to me "you forget something" my reply was "no, you did".
