Ruby's Cafe & Bakery — Restaurant in Anderson

I am normally not the one to leave reviews but- we didn’t deserve this especially for the money we spent…..Placed a special order for a lemon cake with lemon icing with specific design emailed to the bakery. A few calls to finish details of what was expected for my gmas 89th bday cake. Went to pick up said cake and they gave me a quick glance at the cake in a box I paid for it - total sum of $110 Got home took the cake out of the box to only be completely devastated by the actual results up close and out of the box. The middle was like an almond flavor but cake was dense lil lemon flavor for the rest of the cake. Decorations were like a grade school level of inexperience that you would never expect from a cake shop. This moment for us was supposed to be a memorable time given my gmas time left with us. Now we are left with udder disappointing memories to cloud our time with her on this special day. This isn’t the way I wanted to remember things on her bday. I am literally in tears. Money isn’t easy to come by and this was not what we agreed on by far as you can tell from the pics… I would love to get a refund but I’m sure that would be almost impossible.. such a disappointment. Do better yall!

I may be wrong about the price I’m goin by memory. I am that nice lady that picked up the cake and from a distance it was ok once I got home it looked really horrible up close and out of the box. Gmas arty had already begun. I had no time to get something else so we just winged it and the cake was a disappointment from flavor texture n design as you can see if your cake person has any degree this wouldn’t be something they would put on a cake and be proud to say that it was their work. Not to really bash your company but I truly feel this wasn’t one of y’all’s best moments. If at all possible, I would really like to have a refund you can see by the pictures. It’s definitely not something that is appetizing to the eye. Or even worth a quarter of what I paid for it I could truly bring the cake back into you tomorrow and we can discuss...

Was pleased they expanded their menu to breakfast and lunch, as well as all their delicious treats. I am looking forward to doing a cake flight! I can upon this accidentally noticing there was a bakery when I was getting gas at the get go next door. Everyone is friendly. Affordable lunches, beautiful, relaxing atmosphere that transfers you to a tea house. My 20 year old sons accompanied me to lunch and loved it also. Today's special was Taco Salad and a drink for $10. The taco salad was huge. Planning on going with my husband for brunch on Saturday for hashbrown casserole and biscuits and gravy. Cute little shop that has reasonable prices...

A friend and I tried Ruby's for the first time today and really enjoyed it. The staff is friendly and the lunch we enjoyed was great although the menu is pretty limited. Cappuccino plus chicken salad croissant, chips and fresh fruit for me, hot chocolate and a cup of chicken velvet soup for my friend.

The cappuccino was well made and delicious, the chicken salad also very good and the fruit quite fresh. My friend adored the soup as well as the hot chocolate.

They have a large assortment of baked goods that look delicious. I want to come back for breakfast sometime.
