The crab cakes I tried were the best I have ever had, and that includes comparing them with those in restaurants in Charleston , South Carolina. They weren't excessively bready, the crab was light and flaky, and they smelled like crab cakes should smell. None of that fishy smell you get from other places. The Caesar salad that I had before the meal was crisp and tasty. I also tried the vanilla pudding with the brulee topping to finish. The texture of the pudding was very pleasant, especially with the crunch of the topping. I saw many other plates delivered other tables with food that I definitely would like to try ( I don'tususally care for ribs, but Ithink I'dtry them here). I found the portions to be perfect. I was checked on by staff, and the owner during my meal, but no one was invasive and I was allowed to enjoy peacefully. The atmosphere is open, clean, and relaxing. Don't hesitate to try tThe Fickle Palate. I plan to go back here soon, and I'm...
Read moreSince moving to Anderson 9 months ago my wife and I have been pleasantly surprised by many of the local restaurants. Today we had the pleasure of dining at a new restaurant that is a level above anything we have experienced in years. The evenings special was lamb chops and they were perfectly prepared with greens and a sauce that perfectly complimented the lamb. Like wise, the muscles, were in a broth that was so good I ate it with a spoon after finishing the bread. For sides they offer Brussel sprouts and macaroni and cheese, both were excellent. Our server was AJ and he was friendly, efficient and knowledgeable, adding to a wonderful dining experience. It is located in the Electric City Brewing Company Building. The interior is casual and rustic. There are also tables outside that are dog friendly. Obviously, this is our new favorite restaurant, and we will be recommending it to our friends and colleagues with-out...

But the food was spectacular! My table tried the Italian beef stew, the tonkatsu yard bird, the filet, the bison burger, the short ribs, the crème brûlée, the vanilla custard, and the bread pudding. The meats were flavorful and tender, the sides were homemade and fresh and delicious. The bread pudding was dry and I wouldn’t get that again, but the custard with that caramel sauce- amazing. The crème brûlée has the perfect crunch and smoothness.
The service was great. The bar drinks were delicious. We already can’t wait to go back and try...
