I travel all around the United States with my occupation. My love in life is BBQ from anywhere. Well, I tried Satchel’s in Ann Arbor because the weather was rather snowy and I did not want to venture out to far from my hotel. For that reason I chose Satchel’s because of the closeness and the rather high rating on Google. My big mistake on doing this! I purchased the full rack of ribs, along with the extra 4 sides and cornbread for an additional $5.00 dollars. Mind you, I picked my meal up at 3:15 in the afternoon. The ribs were so over cooked and tough, it made me think they were reheated from the day before! It makes me wonder why someone can sell something like this to begin with! Evidently, the people serving the food do not know he difference between fresh edible food that they would eat, to food that has been sitting in warmers way to long and looking so overcooked, you would not serve it to your worst enemy! Really Satchel’s? Really? How about tasting the food before you serve it? If you do not know the difference between the two, then maybe it is time to change the people serving your food! My 4 sides were potato salad, which was also horrendous! The other 2 sides of collard greens, baked beans and red beans and rice were very good! The cornbread was hard and dry and I needed liquid to swallow it. The one thing I can say for sure is, I will not be going back to this establishment in the future. And if I owned this business, I would be embarrassed knowing my employees were serving product that was this overcooked. This is not even close to being BBQ to serve the public.
