I want to preface this by saying I reached out to the restaurant directly first and received no response. I wish I could give NO Stars. I went here on Dec 29 for a birthday dinner. When we arrived we were told a 45 min wait then it was changed to 20. It was about 35 min. By the time we were seated. When we sat down we stated to the waitress that we don’t consume alcohol or pork and please check the order with the kitchen to be sure. We also saw in the menu that chicken wings take 15 min so we ordered them immediately. When the waitress came back she said that the marinated rib eye and marinated short ribs had sake. So we asked if we could have the non marinated versions. We were told we had to order the larger portion and not the combo. We said fine. The. We were told they didn’t have non marinated short ribs but that is the first thing on the menu. I pointed this out to the waitress she seemed not to know at all. Ok we sorted the meat. How she brings the sides. We ask again what everything is she said she checked and they are all fine. We begin eating. Ten minutes later she comes back to tell us one of the dishes has alcohol in it. She gives a half hearted apology. Doesn’t offer to exchange it for something else. We are now in the restaurant about 45 minutes. No sign of the chicken wings. I ask about them again. She said she will go check. Doesn’t come back. We nearly finish our meal she doesn’t bring the wings. We ask ahi about them. They bring them in 10 minutes (1.25 hrs from when we ordered them)and they are nearly raw and pink inside. But the worst issue was that one of the sauces we are given for dipping clearly have peanuts in them. No where on the menu does it state this. No mention on any signage at the restaurant about peanuts on the premises even though this is a must. We have a daughter who is highly allergic (anaphylactic). We do not expose ourselves to peanuts because of this. We are done at this point and go to pay. We are overcharged $50 because the waitress leaves the originate marinated meats on the order in addition to the non marinated. And of course no comp for the wings. We have her correct the bill and pay and leave. What a horrible experience and the service was slow, inattentive and lacking any knowledge of the menu. And I understand adding gratuity for large parties but 18% for two people? Not to mention it was the worst service. I do not recommend this...

I ordered food on the phone, I talked to the first lady to get food and she seemed busy didn't get my name, didn't tell me when I could pickup and hung up. I called back talked to another guy about the food and just wanted to leave my name and what time I should get my food, he passed the phone to another girl and repeated my order. All I wanted was pork stir fried with NO KIMCHI and the last server I talked to said they could make it happen.
I found out that I have to pay $27 for my food when I picked up and after talked to several people (also the server that took my order) they realized that they misunderstood on what I tried to order, of course! Because when I tried to order she didn't even care and just hung up. The lady who took care of me when to the kitchen and talked to a cook, she seemed very upset, I could see everything because she didn't wear a mask, she looked at me and tried to change her attitude after she knew that I was looking at her too, but really it was too late.
I was there for almost 20mins the lady who took my order never came and apologized or say anything.
And for my food I asked at the very beginning if I can have it without kimchi but it's okay if they already mix it together and the lady told me it have done that way already and I didn't mind that.
Got back to my hotel AND ALL I GOT WAS ONLY KIMCHI, I COULDN'T FIND ANY PORK BY MY OWN EYES! At first I thought it was a mistake again, they probably gave me a wrong bag, but then I found a few tiny pieces of pork, smaller than you can imagine. Is this really how they do?
I'm working in restaurant industry and went to so many places all over the place. I had fantastic experiences and also bad ones, but I would say Tomukun was giving me the worse nightmare for all my entire life! I don't really know what food taste will be like because I didn't get 'pork' but only kimchi. Unprofessional cook and server and to be honest, they were not that busy at all.
The lady who took care of everything I know she did what she could, thanks to her but...
Read moreI’m honestly very sad that I’m writing such a poor review, as I have been coming here for many years with my friends and family, which is why I’m putting two stars towards all of the positive experiences I have had here. However, I feel it is important that I make it known to the others that I am currently experiencing symptoms of foodborne illness as a result of having eaten here. I ate here with my mother and younger sister today around 3:30 PM. Both my sister and I ordered the dduk guk like we always get, but it tasted and smelled very off this time. I’m Korean, and have been eating dduk guk as long as I can remember whether my grandmother made it for me or I ordered it at a Korean restaurant. Because of this, and more specifically the very large handfuls of occasions in which I have ordered this exact dish from this restaurant over the course of many years, I think it is safe to say that the way it tasted today was not the way dduk guk should taste. The best way I can possibly describe the taste was extremely bitter, particularly the broth and the beef. I suspect that the beef used was older, possibly even rotten, and probably should have been tossed instead of used for the broth. I really wanted to try to like it which is why I ate a few spoonfuls of it, but I just couldn’t do it. It is now 7:30 PM and I have had nausea and diarrhea in the hours following. I appreciate that both of the orders were omitted from the bill, however, it really doesn’t make up for the fact I feel this shouldn’t have ever happened to begin with. I know Tomukun can do better, and because of that, I am deeply disappointed, and am unsure if I will...
