My husband and I tried this restaurant this morning for the first time. It is much larger inside than it appears.
The decor is very nice with a lot of wood accents.
We were seated promptly, and our server was by almost immediately to offer us coffee. However, things slow down a lot after that.
When the waitress did come back to get our order, my husband ordered the corn beef hash, and I ordered the chocolate chip pancakes with a side of hashbrowns and eggs.
My husband said his meal was OK but the corned beef hash did not have a lot of flavor.
My pancakes were cooked well and had just enough chocolate chips to not be overpowering. The hashbrowns were cooked a little too long and were somewhat dark. However, my sunny side up eggs were cooked appropriately.
Service was very slow and we had to wait quite some time for our waitress to come back to offer us more coffee and then even longer when it was time for our check and to get a box. We found we had to wait quite some time before she came back to offer us a box and bring us our check.
My husband and I were by far the youngest people in the restaurant at the time we were there. It very much seems like a meeting place for seniors. It seems like a lot of those customers or regulars because the waiters and waitresses knew them. So, it seems like a nice Local spot.
As I said, the food was OK, but we were a little disappointed in the service. However, we might have just gone on the wrong day.
If you have been considering giving it a try, I wouldn't let this review stop you. Just keep in mind that you might not want to go if...
Read moreMy husband and I go here fairly often ( im addicted to the blitzes!) Today I strayed from my normal and got the American breakfast instead. I asked for my eggs to be over medium whites done. I received my order and the whites where still raw. I am very picky about how my eggs are cooked i can not eat raw whites 🤮. A staff member named will came by and I asked him if they could just cook them a little longer he said yes no problem. He dropped the eggs off again only for me to realize that the yolks where completely cooked through. I accepted my Eggless fate and ate the rest of my breakfast. My husband knew I wanted some drippy eggs and again asked will for one egg and explained that I'm just very particular about my eggs. He gave us no grieve and with in minutes he brings out two freshly cooked eggs and asked if they where ok... they where raw. I apologize and told him don't worry about cooking anymore. He wasn't going to stop until I was satisfied! He again within minutes bring out two more freshly cooked eggs and they where perfect!! It's the little things like this that make me want to come back. Our last two visits where nothing to write home about and we where giving up on eggcellence. But because of will we will be lifers! Thank you so much will, I can't tell you how much I appreciate your effort, i know it's just eggs but being as picky as I am its hard to find a place that...
Read moreHonestly if I could give them no starts I would. I attempted to go to the restaurant in Annapolis with my family today on Father’s Day. I went in and put my name on the list. I was told thirty minutes. My family and I walked around as we waited - we had my 11 month old with us and standing in one spot wasn't working. My grandmother sat on the restaurant waiting for them to call our name and/or party number. After 39 minutes of no call we returned assuming our table should be ready soon. We were then told that the manager called our name multiple times and no one responded. My grandmother was sitting less than 10 feet from the hostess stand and he saw her sit down and that she was waiting. The manager was then extremely rude to me saying “I said it multiple times and no one was here”. I responded that my grandmother was sitting right there. He said “well then she wasn’t listening to me” in the most snooty unpleasant tone. I am a black woman with an amazing mixed race family and I am disgusted by the treatment. I 100% believe that the gentleman was racist as other non black groups were called and seated before us multiple times. And how he could yell our me or number and my grandmother, a black woman, who was sitting less than 10 feet away...
