Be forewarned.....the owner treat customers poorly and doesn't care! I was craving Vietnamese food so I ordered the #71, Garlic Noodle w/ Lemongrass Beef. Their CURRENT menu price (on their own website) online shows that the price is $9.75 but ended up getting charged $13.50 (+ tax = nearly $15!). After placing the order over the phone, I sent my daughter in with my credit card to pick up the food. She didn't know that there was a price discrepancy and it didn't come up as an issue for discussion since I've already viewed their menu online. Not only is this a problem, then they only filled their boxes half full! I was so disappointed to say the least when I got home to eat this. Noodles do not cost that much money, not to mention that the beef cut was tough and dried. I'd called and called yet they don't pick up (how do you do business?!). Then after several attempts, I went back into the restaurant to ask for the Manager/Owner. The waiter said that he was not here. He blatantly told me that the Owner dodges people and stays away from the restaurant. He's well aware that the price is different than what's on their online menu. Apparently, he knows about this. He also only fills the portions HALF full because he claims that food prices are going up. Well, you can't charge people more money (and not update your prices online) AND reduce the portions of food that people pay! I told him that I will NEVER come back. The waiter even suggested that I put a 1 star review on Yelp and Google, which is exactly what I will do. I would give this place ZERO stars,...
Read moreNgon Noodle House was an opportunity and a last chance for my family to really survive after losing my sister. Depsite us being first time restaurant business owners, the shoes left behind were too big to fill. The amazing people who continued to support in our bad times, and the food we tried lovingly prepare. In these circumstances, we truly forget how human we are.
I remember being taken advantage of during this time in the restaurants last years and unfortunately was not a kind person. The relationship and man who was there continued to delay progress and I supported it. I am not proud to those I hurt in the restaurant.
Despite it. It was fun, the debt though. Was not. I hope Antioch will find a heart for a vietnamese restaurant and perhaps kinder one day. Even if our service was at times the worst, I did not recognize the waitor behind that desk. I truly regret the day we had to close. Because I couldn't stop thinking how I got to eat my Mom and Dad's special recipes at the...
Read moreThe Pho has been great throughout the 2 or 3 times this place has changed hands in the last 7 or 8 years. The service and facade have gone down hill with every new owner.
They need better lighting in the parking lot, you can hardly tell they are open. The new owners like to party and get loud out in the dining area, which is fine if the place was packed and loud but when you're the only other person/people in there, it comes off as very unprofessional.
The service is lacking in the front of the house. The young kid and the tall white guy make me feel embarrassed for them. They make their business known in every regard, all except for the business of getting people fed and charged out. Too busy watching their phones on full blast, trying to entertain each other rather than run the restaurant and serve the customers.
Sad to see this spot make such a decline, it used to be constantly filled to capacity; now it's...
