El Gordo Mexican Grill — Restaurant in Apache Junction

I will never order from this location ever again. I spent more than $50 here for dinner tonight. I usually go to the broadway location which is awesome they never mess up and are always polite. From this location I ordered 9 quesabarilla taco I got home opened the boxes they were not the correct tacos. Drove back with the tacos showed the cashier my transaction on my phone since I wasn’t given a receipt and she told the cook to re make the tacos. She handed me back 3 quesabarillas and told me to have a good night I told her that I had ordered 9 and that’s why I had brought back 9 incorrect tacos and she started arguing with me that that is not what I had ordered. I said back that I usually go to the broadway location and they never have any problems with my order she still argued that I had not ordered the 9 quessabarillas . So I asked for the 9 tacos I was originally given and a refund and she finally very rudely told the cook to make 6 more. Need better customer service especially when this was absolutely their mistake. Broadway...

So frustrated right now!! I ordered birria tacos that are clearly on their menu and this place doesn’t know how to make them. I attempted to ask them to fix the order and they argued with me that I ordered the wrong item. Ummm I said Birria tacos….not sure how much more specific I needed to be. The taco shells were soft corn tortillas, and no cheese. They also did not give us the dipping soup that should come with them. Some of the best Mexican food I've had in Phoenix. Drive through can take a while but the food is fresh so it's well worth the wait. The Carne Asada is perfectly cooked and seasoned. Even the tortilla was amazing. Green Salsa is proper and spicy. The Red salsa has quite a punch. I'll be back for sure! We got the Chimi, California burrito and rolled tacos. Taco birra is good also.
