Crunchy pizza. Phoned in order for pick up. $23- 14in olives& mushrooms, 2x cannoli
Quoted 25min, order ready in 40min.
I don't think this is NY pizza. It is a very thin pie with fluffy / hollow pizza bones (crust). The bottom crust is quite crunchy and HEAVILY floured. Its... "sturdy"... even though it's very thin, the slice's point does not droop at all, no need to fold over for support... not that I think you could, it would likely crack. It is not chewy, just crunchy. When I opened the box I was bowled over by an oregano spice mix odor... I'm pleased to say the flavor is much more balanced than its scent. The toppings were plentiful... and all fell off the point adhering to the rest of the pie.
It just missed the mark for me. I had 2 slices and paused... it just didnt leave me craving more. Depending on the pie, I'm normally a. 3-4 slice kind of person. If I eat more, I'll skip the dry pizza bones.
As is typical, one cannoli didnt make it out of the parking lot - I ate one right away. It was way more sweet than anything in Italy, but a significant improvement (less swet) to the one I had from DeMos/Raleigh. I highly recommend SAY NO to the sweet red drizzle.
It's not bad, just not my preferred style. I will try another pizza...
Read moreWe ordered two pizzas which ended up being approximately $38. It used to be approximately $34.
We used to order from here a lot. The last couple times we ordered the quality of their pizza, has gone downhill dramatically.
The last time we ordered, the bottom of the pizza was burnt in some spots, and then almost raw and other spots.
This time the two topping pepperoni mushroom pizza. When my husband inspected the box in the store, he noted that it only had an it only had about half the amount of toppings that it normally would have had. The mushrooms were very sparse and definitely did not cover the whole pizza. I would say they didn’t even cover 3/4 of the pizza.
We ordered our second pizza half cheese / and the pop other half was pepperoni and mushroom. Please note as you can see on the picture provided below that the pepperoni and mushroom came nowhere near the middle of the pizza.
When my husband picked up the pizza, he questioned the cashier about the pizzas. The cashier stated.” that’s normal.” I guess that’s the new normal. The quality definitely has...
Read moreWithin our business of travel. From Garner to Apex most weekends. We take ten ten road and we pass by big Sergio's Pizza, on the right hand side, just before the highway at the stop light coming from Garner. Today, Sunday. It was 1 p.m. and we decided to stop in. We ordered two calzones, 1, 8 in sub Philly cheesesteak, and A Slice of Cheesecake.
If you've never eaten here before, come by and have a taste of this food. You definitely get a large quantity of food for your buck. The calzone is enormous for just $6.95 and The Taste is phenomenal. The Philly cheesesteak I had was warm and melted and delicious and it was gone before I got to my house. The Slice of Cheesecake was some of the best desert I've eaten in a very long time. It wasn't overly sweet, like most desserts. I also saw that they serve Gyros I did not get one but we will get one next time. But don't take just my word for it. Look at some of my images I've taken. I will be stopping back by this restaurant more frequently as work...
