We have only eaten here once before and the food is ok, too salty for my tastes, but we ended up trying it again last night and had a frustrating experience. Before I share, I acknowledge that supply chain issues play a role in this and I completely understand that. So I ordered a Blue Zalad. They told us that they were only out of blue cheese, so my husband just asked for cheddar instead. When my salad arrived home, I noticed 3 issues...First, my salad was just lettuce and chicken and cheese. They hadn't put on fried onions or told us they were out. I'm not sure what happened there. Second, only half of the chicken pieces had buffalo sauce. Finally, I saw the receipt and noticed we had been charged 30 cents for the cheese substitute... I didn't even want cheddar in the first place so it was infuriating to be charged for something that should be on the salad anyway. So I ended up paying almost $10 for lettuce and chicken. My salad was also in a styrofoam takeout box, which was sort of weird. But I understand that might have been a supply chain issue. Two of the meals we ordered had the wrong dipping sauce, but that was minor. Overall, it was a frustrating experience. I would rather go to Huey Magoo's or PDQ to get a salad next time.
March 2022: Adding a note...because this is the closest restaurant to our house, we have had to grab food here two more times since my first review. Just general life craziness, as sometimes happens. Zaxby's has gotten my sandwich order completely wrong both times, charged us extra for things we didn't get or ask for and just botched the orders in general. We are always missing sauces and drinks. We now joke that our orders from Zaxby's are more wrong than they are right. (And we are not ordering anything special, just basic menu items). We eat out a lot but no one messes orders up...
Read moreTonight I received the worse service I’ve ever received anywhere from the employees that worked this evening, from their product down to their service. I placed an order that consisted of 3 meals. Upon arriving to the window I was informed there would be a 7 minute wait on my chicken for their club sandwich. I was given the drinks to the meals and when I asked her where I should park she gestured towards the front of the store. After waiting over 15 minutes I went back thru the drive thru where the cashier then handed me my bag of food. I waited for her to return to the window because she disappeared when I turned to pass the bag of food to one of my passengers before getting to request dipping sauce. After inwaited about another 5 minutes she returned. I then asked for the sauce and informed her I was given The wrong sandwich and would like the difference in cost refunded as I knew the kitchen staff was most likely closing and I didn’t want to wait any longer for another sandwich to be made. I was told the store was closed, I needed to come back in the morning that the manager was refusing to speak with me and that I needed to pull out of the driveway because I was on their timer. I told her I couldn’t see how the timer made a difference if she said they were closed and requested to speak to the manager again. Read moreUpdate: After a year of hiatus, I can say things have improved. Service is courteous and a lot more prompt. Employees were working together instead of spewing profanities at each other. Food was hot and delicious. Both of our visits I did notice new faces, including at the supervisory or management level. Everything is headed in a much better direction.
Update: The management at this location is terrible. Several instances, my family has had to wait over 30 minutes for food. The last time we visited, we waited 45 minutes. Everytime I notice a certain manager is working, I know our experience will be a disaster. It's sad because I've been going to this location for years and have watched it decline into the rock bottom spot it is today. It's obvious upper management either has no clue or doesn't know how to manage this location. The fact they keep this certain awful manager on staff, says a lot. I've had to take my 5 year old out of the location because of how the manager was treating his employees. It was not suitable for a 5 year old to witness or any guest for that matter.
