I havenāt been to a Chipotle in several years, hated waiting in line and never finding a place to park.. but that was years ago and the downtown Apple Valley location. I didnāt like that Chipotle isnāt open until 11am, because at the time I worked overnight and would have to stay awake for hours after work to get my ādinner.ā I could go there just before work hoping to arrive before they close and get less sleep to get my lunch several hours after they closed⦠but I digress. Fast forward to the pandemic, by this time Iām disabled but can drive. I have a hard time standing for long periods so again I didnāt go to Chipotle because while I could order online my only option was to climb out of my car, hobble into the store and hope my order would be ready OR pay a third party company to deliver my meal for a fee. How I wished they had thought ahead and made a pickup lane or curbside delivery, but no⦠none of the locations had these things⦠Lo and Behold I find out just yesterday that Chipotleās are scrambling to get drive throughs! I look it up and the website indicates there are some⦠but wouldnāt distinguish the ones with drive throughs from those without!!!
After some hunting I finally figured out thereās this new location somewhere in Apple Valley that neither Google Maps nor Google Earth could pinpoint where it is. I tried Maps and it said itās somewhere near Pilot Knob Road, Google Earth (with itās 3 year old maps) pointed to a mound of dirt. š
I would have to drive over there to try to figure out where āEnglish Aveā was. First I thought āletās order onlineā well the website refused to recognize there was someone trying to access their portal. Fine. Drive overā¦. The parking lot has an access point off 157th St and Pilot Knob. I go in and find the restaurant. Thereās what looks like a drive-thru but I see a post (and read the road) showing this is the āDigitalā order lane. So not a drive-thru. I park and try the website again. Now it works.. š¤Ø.. put in my order (website is very good and allows specific ordering š). Waitā¦waitā¦wait for my pickup time slot to come. Drive in, person at window finds my order in seconds⦠and Iām off!!
Or so I thought. Thereās no clear signs on how to exit this multi-business parking lot. I try to leave the way I came in and find DO NOT ENTER signs š¤ šlook around and all other roads appear to go north to what turns out to be 155th St. I got out finally, yeah! Itās not Chipotleās fault for the stupidity of the parking lot designers. Not taking this out on them!
My order was perfect and I will be back⦠I feel like going there now! May have to postpone going to my other...

Now previous LONG time customer here, who occasionally does DoorDash.
I received a door dash order to pick up. Turns out Chipotle opens at 10:45, and I arrived at 10:43. The nerve of me. Mind you, I have no problem waiting, especially if I'm early. No customers are waiting outside to get in, and nobody else is in the drive through for this entire encounter. Immediately some tall kid shaped like a penicil and rocking a Justin Bieber mustache comes to the windows and just snips his question at me:
"the one for ten fifty?".
I was confused but confirmed the name on the order, and he responded "Yeah like I said, the one for 10:50". It had clicked in my head he was referring to the time and not the price. He aggressively slid the window shut and walked away.
For the record the order said it would be ready by 10:47.
Then some shrew walks over and yells at me for being a door dasher and using the drive through. Now irritated from encountering Pencil Boy and this lady's attitude, I replied back with the same energy they were giving me
"What's the point of having a drive through specifically for picking things up then?".
She started to close the window on me. I told her they were incredibly rude. She told me I ruined her break and she was reporting me to door dash.
There have been so many reasons throughout the past 10+ years to stop eating at Chipotle. The good news is I prefer Panchero. Their housemade tortillas are top tier, and if you get the burritos, they mix all the ingredients together before they fold it, getting you everything in every bite.
Let's also not forget Qdoba just opened up off of 42, right by...
