When I heard that the Wayzata-Based Salad Company Crisp & Green owner was planning 10 more stores across Minnesota, I didn’t expect on near my on Pilot Knob in Rosemount. It is nice to have another healthy eating option. The selection is quite wide. Interesting, all the ingredients are lined up in the case where you place your order. The staff simply combines the items per your selection of the menu board overhead. It’s quite fast and simple, reminding me of how one places orders at Chipotle and Subway. It has a both an indoor and outdoor seating for dining on the premises. I took mine to go (and enjoyed it before I thought to take a picture. I had the "Shrimply Irresistible" salad. It was lightly dressed with the creamy citrus herb dressing, which I like, and had a generous amount of shrimp. The fun ingredient is the crispy rice topping. It adds a delightful crunch. The location is just west of the new Chipotle and south of the new Lund’s & Byerly’s development. I didn’t initially see it from Pilot Knob, so I’m include a video clip to help others spot it. CEO Steele Smiley, seems to have a good plan here. I applaud the focus on healthy food. For lunch especially, his fast and casual offering is ideal. Several beverage options are available. You can grab and can of cold fizzy water or juice and enjoy on the go. The interior is exceptional minimalistic, clean and bright. Ample parking.

I was skeptical when my wife suggested a salad place for dinner. Being a dutiful husband, I went along figuring I could grab a snack afterwards. I was even more dubious when I saw the prices. ($13-$15 for greens? Oh boy…). As you can tell by my star rating, I became a convert pretty darn quick. The atmosphere is stark, feeling like a cross between a bakery and a deli (with a little hospital cafeteria sprinkled in). And there’s a chandelier for some reason. The employees weren’t particularly friendly but they were efficient. But we’re not here for coziness, we’re here for sustenance, and that’s where this place shines. The post-game snack was not going to be necessary after polishing off every last bit of my Korean-inspired Seoul Bowl. It is a cornucopia of flavor with just a hint of spiciness. I pushed away from the table 100% satisfied and 110% caught off guard. My wife loved her southwest bowl, The Bold and the Buffalo. Even our teenage son likes this place (and that’s really saying something). With fresh, whole-food ingredients, most meals will clock in under 800 calories. (Watch the smoothies, ‘cause they can add up fast.) Oh, and the bathroom is spotless and well-lit. Overall, I’m surprised to admit that I’m already looking forward to our next visit.

Rotten food, I asked for my order to pick up, lunch for my entire family, and when I got home I realized that 3 bowls came with totally rotten avocado, I immediately called and they told me to come the next day. I had to throw them away, the next day I went to make the claim and the answer was that the avocado was not in harvest, but if I wanted he would give me 3 half avocados again. Really!!!! what a disappointment, why would I want just avocados the next day? I still received them to show the poor service and poor quality of the food at the Apple Valley business. They gave me 3 avocados in bad condition, and the manager had a terrible attitude, trying to say that I was wrong and that it wasn't her fault, that's how the avocados are at that place. Very poor management of the manager, both with the food and in knowing how to solve a situation like this.

I truly do not understand what is the disconnect. I ordered through the app only to get a call from the door dash driver saying that my order wasn't there only to find out that Crisp and Green in Apple Valley canceled my order. I called and they blamed door dash…. No we ordered through YOUR APP and paid through YOUR APP. We asked for a refund and the girl on the phone took down our information and said that the manager will be in touch with us tomorrow. Which I do not understand why they can’t pay to have a manager on duty during business hours like a normal business. I decided to go there myself and show the girl at the counter and she said that she can’t do anything without a manager. Even though I had proof of purchase. I don’t feel good about yelling at high school girls over a salad so I just bought a new one and left. Finally got in touch with the manager about a refund or a comp meal. Now you would expect more professionalism from a manager… NOPE! Couldn’t help me out whatsoever so I got the number to corporate and they are going to “investigate it.” What is this?!?!? If you can’t issue a simple refund for one salad or train your staff to? Or even apologize for the trouble. It’s called customer service!

Either fix your systems, your processes, or maybe the manager needs to find a new career all together because this experience was absolutely atrocious and I don’t understand why simple business practices and customer service just...

My child and I came in on 01/23/25 around 6:05 pm. I was tired from working and a meeting. The young man working was the only person who delivered good customer service. He was the only one who acted normal like we were human beings. I don’t know why the other female was acting so funny. Not sure if it was because we are pretty or ethnic. I tried to pay with cash and they wouldn’t let me and there was a very small sign I noticed on the register once I was told that. I remember I used cash the last time I was there because I don’t like to use my card for take out due to a security issue in the past. This was maybe our second time there. The so called manager wasn’t very nice either implying I should know stating it was November when the change happened when the other worker had said it was recently and there should be a big sign on the door so people can see. It’s unusual to not take cash as I know pretty much every other business does. She made us feel so uncomfortable. As I was leaving to go somewhere else, there was a kind gentleman in line behind me who was an angel to us. He offered to pay so we wouldn’t have to go elsewhere. Thank you again!! What a blessing on a day I was exhausted. There should be a sign in an obvious place for newer customers and also Thank you to the young man who treated us well and the...
