This is not a review of this location because I did not eat there. This review is of the corporate office.
My birthday was on July 1st and Firehouse advertises a free sub for your birthday. Never got a reward for a free sub in the app even though I've had this app on my phone for several years and made a purchase last month. Long story short, I went into my profile, and all the fields including birth date were blank. Re-entered the information including birth date into the fields, clicked Save, and received a message stating my information was updated. Went back into the profile and the fields were once again blank. Did this again in front of a disinterested employee at this location and his advice was to uninstall and reinstall the app. I did so with the same result. I used to work in Information Technology, and it would appear to me that the Save button is set-up to clear the information in your profile - it does NOT save it. I tried updating my profile eight times with the same result.
You will never get a free sub if your birth date does not appear in your profile and Firehouse has made sure that it will not.
Discontinue the birthday reward program if you want to, but don't resort to these underhanded tricks...
Read moreFirehouse has great food, but on two different occasions I've placed an online order at this location with a reasonable pickup in the app, then show up to get my order to have employees telling customers, only when they finally ask, it will be another 45 minutes while offering zero alternatives. I walked out. This is so absolutely unacceptable. I understand getting slammed with orders, but there was no proactive communication, no changes to the pick up time estimate on the app, nothing to indicate that I would need to clear and dedicate part of my day for a $10 sandwich that takes 5 minutes to eat. I'm extremely disappointed and, regretfully, will not be returning to this location. On a lunch break, I need to be able to pick up food and back to work reliably, but unfortunately this is not a restaurant that respects its customers time. Read moreThe subs are fantastic but there is always some type of issue with ordering. Whether it's slow ordering in person, pick up orders not being ready on time, or issues redeeming rewards. This store claims to not be able to redeem rewards in store so you are forced to do a pick up order through the app as you are standing there and then your order gets significantly delayed even though you are there in person. This seems a little like they are trying to make you buy more as if you redeem in a store you don't have to make an additional purchase.
