I've always thought their food is good, and never had a complaint about the service before, but I doubt I'll go here anymore. Spending 10 to $12 per plate would lead you to believe this is a quality restaurant. However, I had to stand and wait for 15 minutes for my order to be ready. I am handicapped, and my back was killing me with the only seat they're being filled by a man waiting for his order. I stood and waited patiently, and when I got my order, I asked for two more katsu sauce. She brought one back and put it in my bag. For $12 a plate, you would think you could get an extra sauce, and I had repeated my request twice, so I know she did it on purpose. If there was a limit, the person kindly tells you that. She didn't do that either. I think that's not great customer service. I did have to take it to go since they were closing, which is totally understandable, but the service was so warm and accommodating that it didn’t bother me at all.
It’s rare to find a place where the team still goes above and beyond even at the end of a long shift. Huge thanks to the crew working that night—you turned a late-night dinner into a...
Read moreOno Hawaiian is the only place to get Hawaiian BBQ in the high desert. The food is always made fresh and as a result, always tastes great.
The only problem with this is that you have to wait for everybody that ordered ahead of you to get your food, and that took about fifteen minutes this time. Is it worth it? Sometimes, but that also depends on your personal tastes.
This time I got the chicken combo, which comes with BBQ chicken, and chicken katsu, which is a breaded chicken cutlet. This time, the food wasn't exactly up to standard. The BBQ was little on the dry side, and the katsu wasn't as crunchy as I would have liked it to be.
Still, for all its faults, Ono is a pretty good...
