Dirty tables and floors. The worst watered down sodas, its no wonder why everyone was drinking beer or margaritas. All of the food needed seasoning and I'm a white boy. Sauces were underwhelming. Chips were burnt. Breaded shrimp was gross with cake batter breading that instantly gets soggy. The Pollo had no flavor even with salt, it just tasted like salt. The asada fries turned out OK after adding salt but not enough cheese to even hold the toppings together and not enough sauce to even matter. It was basically tomato cilantro unseasoned asada with a tiny bit of cheese and sour cream. Tacos were super plain. The Dorado tacos had very little meat. The reason I gave a 2 star is the asada taco was actually seasoned or maybe I left the salt on it long enough while I was eating the fries that it tasted good. So their is promise but this time was a strike out. Went somewhere else just to make sure I wasn't crazy, and I wasn't. I will say staff was friendly...
Read moreFound this gem doing a Google search. It used to be a fish taco shop but has been reopened as a Mexican food kitchen by a new owner.
For starters, the hospitality breaks through as soon as you are greeted. The place is small but cozy. Sara who first greeted us was super cordial and helpful. Francis then took over a few minutes later and she was delightful. Then there's the food. OH WOW!!! I ordered the 3 quesabirrias with consomme, and they were delicious! My lady ordered pozole and she was just as pleased. The amount of choices on the menu are mind boggling. From tacos, to burgers, to pozole and menudo. They also serve breakfast so day long.
Needless to say, we will be returning to this place again and again in the future. Especially because they are just around the corner from home. So if you are a local or just driving by. Do yourself a favor and stop to eat here and grab something to eat. I'm sure you will...
Read moreThe food wasn't very flavorful and the Pozole came extremely steamimg hot, to where I had to ask for ice to cool it off enough to eat and it had no flavor and it didn't come with oregano or crushed red pepper. The margaritas are made with wine, but not advertised as such. I asked to take my Pozole to go thinking I could doctor it up at home and I had to package it up myself and it made a big mess spilling. The waitress took my fixings such as cilantro, onion, cabbage and my tostada shells that go with it and threw them out, before I could add them to my to go container! There is definitely much...
