Do not eat here unless you want to one star treatment. We had people coming in well after us, that ordered after us, and got their drinks and food before us. Literally we had a party of three. We sat forever thinking we were forgotten, just waiting for our food and drinks, while others were boxing up their items. This place has gone down hill over the years. My drink which was a simple Paloma but I was basically given water with grapefruit juice. I sent it back and got a mojito and the kid that was serving us said “So you had a problem with your drink?” It was rude how he said it. I said “yeah I did, you didn’t even serve me a correct Paloma” I Explained to him how it should have been made and taste, He just said “okay, so do you want something else?” They served my grandma six shrimp with burnt toast talking about “that’s the meal” like what? She is 91 years old and thank god she is simple person but that so called trashy meal wasn’t it. It came out cold, so we know that food was just sitting there while they messed around standing at the computer where they input food. My husbands food was boxed or freezer burned rice, and enchiladas that he said were okay. But the rice was complete trash. This restaurant is horrible, and the service is trash.
Edit to add: *responding to the owners comment? Cause I can’t respond directly”
The owner was right there and actually brought the food with the younger gentlemen to our table. Or I’m assuming it was the owner. Hispanics male bald head, he was the one that saw the food and he was the one I asked “is that all for that meal?” When it came to the shrimp, and the toast being burnt. I’m not the only person that feels this way in regards to your establishment. If you like I can send over a post that was created about your restaurant and the service and food comments that were made. You can let me know if you see this add to this review and I can email directly to you, I will be more...
Read moreWe really wanted this place to be our go-to mexican restaurant but it was anything but Mexican food. We saw some of the good reviews and decided to give it a try... the atmosphere was nice and the restaurant has a good vibe, but the food was an absolute disappointment. The marguerita had so much sugar, it was hard to drink. We took a few bites of our food and our stomachs immediately started to turn. The food tastes old and definitely not traditional. Canned mushrooms and hard burnt bacon in a Oaxacan quesadilla? Canned beans with a sour flavor, burnt and dry fried chicken, old pico de Gallo with a strong oniony flavor, etc. The "Seafood Crepes" were supposed to have lobster and shrimp, there was no lobster, only small pieces of shrimp smothered in a mystery sauce, cheese and crema. The Chips and salsa were the only edible part of the meal. Our throat was flemmy after a few bites and our stomachs were hurting so we left 3/4 of the meals untouched. The server was kind enough to take the quesadilla off the bill because we asked for no mushrooms and they forgot, but we still paid 85$ for two inedible plates of food and two super sugary drinks. Times are tough for restaurants right now and i dont like writing reviews like this but serving bad food is preventable and dangerous. My man and I both feel sick after coming here. Please do better! We need good authentic mexican food in the...
Read moreI'm sad about this, but also feel slighted. For over 15 years, this was one of our favorite restaurants in Apple Valley. Approximately 6 months ago, we were there and the brunch was below par with over cooked food and cold stuff that seemed to have sat too long. Ok, well any place can have an off day. We tried it again tonight for my birthday. Service was HORRIBLE. My Chile Relleno dinner was "ok", but my husband's tacos were awful. Very little meat, soggy lettuce, not tasty. The salad I ordered had barely cut leaves. Maybe a shark could eat it that way, but I had to cut each piece of lettuce just to eat it. It's also extremely rare to get a horrible waiter, but we got one tonight. This kid did NOT want to be there. We had to beg for napkins, joking amongst ourselves that we should have brought out own. The table was sticky! Ewww Also had to beg for the check so we could get the heck outta there. My husband talked to "acting manager", Jose who said there was nothing he could do about our dissatisfaction and further elaborated the owners are rarely there anymore. This must be why the place is no longer a quality restaurant. Morale' seemed non existent with this staff. This place used to be jovial and fun, tonight it was serene. With all the competition in the area for Mexican food, we will be going elsewhere from now on. Las Brisas and Chichios are much better and have...
