I haven't been to D&B for a while, they're usually pretty good, went for Father's Day recently & it was my father's first time. Unfortunately, he didn't get to really try things out, the service was absolutely terrible, & it wasn't even hectic. Most of the staff was lackadaisical and inattentive. Most of the staff seemed to carry a 'not my job, not my problem' mentality. We came around 2pm & sat in the eating section near the bar, there were only 3 other families there in that particular section, but it looked like 3 young bus boys were working, 2 young waiters,& what looked like one supervisor & two bar tenders. Most of the tables were dirty except a few with napkins/utensils on them, we didn't mind cleaning one we wanted to use but we just wanted regular service. There was at least 1 young waiter in our section helping people, & he could've at least made sure we all had utensils & each had menus. The menu I had was all wet& when I requested another from the waiter in the section they gave me a new one but neglected to give our family utensils or at least offer water while we decided. People saw we were sitting but it was like they didn't care we were there, I even asked the bartender how things worked, if we were supposed to pick up our own plate & napkins, he explained the waiter would bring them. I was hoping after that exchange he would snap to & tell one of the waiters or managers we need service, but no. I guess he had the idea that because it wasn't his job it wasn't his problem. I kept visibly looking at different employees to show I had a question, because no one was helping us. I even nodded 'hey' at a bus boy that was facing me 3ft away at another table, he looked at me at turned around, then later started joking with his friend about some random thing like I wasn't just trying to get his attention. I know that waiting isn't a bus boys job but he could've at least told someone I needed help or reassured us someone was coming rather than straight up turn his back to me. Once again, the 'not my job not my problem' mentality was showing. We decided to finally leave after at least 25 mins of being ignored. I don't think my father will ever come back, which is a huge bummer. Idk what's going on with D&B's young employees ,but I've never been mistreated that way before. They need to straighten up or they're gonna lose...
Read moreWorst D&B experiance ever. First it was only open seating so we had to find our own tables a push a few together. About 20min or so the waiter notices we are there. Later when ordering I spicificly ask about a discount the have (20% off) as we are ordering and he says yes we will be able to get it on the food portion if our purchase (as 3 people had already orderd the eat and play items). Then a few times during the meal the waiter swings by to see how we were doing (food was fine) but he seemed in a rush and eve walked away while I was mid sentance once. Bill comes, no discount and a total of 245. When we ask about the discount he says he was not able to get it for us at all since we had eat and play meals. So we push to even have it on our non eat and play items. He says he will see what he can do and rushes off cradit card in hand. He comes back having already charged the bill wil a $7 discount (about 20% off the non alcohol and non eat and play stuff) and he has already charged it. I decide to go tell the manager how disapointed i was about directly asking and being told it would be on "the food portion" or our meals even when asking spicificly about the items we had already orderd at the time (the play and eat combos). I am brushed off saying its on the sign out front so I pretty much can be verbally told what ever they want and I should have read the small print on the sign. After this we play some games. Our card seems to have credits come off randomly and many games require us to swipe several times to use. On the way out I decide to get my kids some water... I stop a waiter and ask if thwy have a togo cup for some water. He says yes, you can get it at the bar.... I wait, ignored by the bartenders for about 20 min... Finally I go to another waiter and ask if he can just get it for me cauae my kids are getting restless.. He tells me they are not allowed to do togo anything.. Once I say I had talked to the other waiter (and been lied to for a second time for the night) he says the "management is not very good on communication with the staff...".. Sort of odd considering these things I was misinformed about, should pretty much be common knowledge among staff... I will likley Not return to this Dave an Busters again. (This was our second bad experiance there - first was more rude staff and a 3 hour wait for food when it...
Read moreAbsolutely. Please make it up to me. I was there early May for my birthday celebration with some family and friends. I alone spent over $300 there. I have bank statements to prove it. Now my issue is not with our server, or the location itself as it was clean and really looked like an awesome place to celebrate. My problem happened toward the end of our "Dave and Busters experience". There was a very rude employee that was extremely rude to my children. My 6 year old son wanted a small glider plane that was actually one of your least expensive prizes. He didnt not have enough credits to get it (I realize this is not chuck e cheese and your policies are different. That's fair). I offered to pay the difference being that it was my 6 year old child that wanted the plane (a child, not me). I had no issue with your policy of not letting me purchase this prize. The issue was the way I was dismissed by the young lady in the prize room after she said I could not purchase the item. She quickly turned away from me and left me standing there as if I was not even there. I spoke with your on site manager and communicated the gross customer service interaction over a cheap plane for a "child". He did gift us the plane and allowed me to keep our points (credits) on our play cards (which made absolutely no sense being that I was not likely to return after being treated this way). To the owner- I am huge on "customer service". To be honest, I am extremely grateful and appreciate your attempt to reach out. This shows a level willingness to "make it right", that is not seen nowadays. I commend your efforts. Please feel free to "turn it around". After this positive interaction, I am really looking forward to being a loyal customer. Let me know what you think. Thank you. -Update, never heard back from owner. One star now. Please do not contact, or address me again. Notice, my 3 star review did not contain specific info about my review until "you" (the owner) reached out to "me". This is not a game. Its business. I just cut my losses. 7 hours later.... no word from you. I wouldn't spend another dollar at your location. I took the time to acknowledge the message from the owner, this was not...
