I don’t normally write complaints, but I feel like I have to share how disappointed I was with my recent visit. All I wanted was some ice cream. That’s it. But after waiting over 25 minutes, it still wasn’t ready. At that point, I was just done. I shouldn’t have to wait nearly half an hour for something that should take five minutes, tops.
I asked to cancel the order and get a refund, and even that was a mess. The woman at the register didn’t know how to count change or process it properly, which just made the situation even more frustrating.
The way I was treated? Cold, dismissive, and honestly just unprofessional. The customer service was non-existent. It felt like no one cared that I had been waiting that long, or that I left empty-handed. And to be honest, it made me feel like my time and my business didn’t matter to anyone there.
I’m not saying this to be cruel—I’m saying it because someone needs to hear it. Management needs to do better. These employees clearly haven’t been trained properly, and it shows. Either retrain them or consider hiring people who actually want to be there. And if you want to attract better talent, pay them better. You can’t expect excellent service while offering the bare minimum.

My family and I have frequented Ardmore's Dairy Queen multiple times since its opening and the food and ice cream are always amazing! It's our choice for treats and reliably good burgers! Recently we have began as a vendor for this location and as a business that serves multiple food businesses - this particular store really stands out! Today as we arrived to plant flowers, we were met by the kindest worker on his way inside- he immediately thanked us and asked if we would like some water or if we needed anything to let him know. This is not typical and we were both so appreciative! So kudos to this worker and this location for their kindness, positive atmosphere and consistent great food! We're blessed to have this in our community. The dedication to customer service and attention to detail truly sets Ardmore's Dairy Queen apart from other establishments. Read moreHaven't been into a DQ in years, maybe even a decade or more. Stopped in today with my son on our way through from an appointment and am 100% happy we did. The cashier's name was Myron, I think, and he welcomed us with a big "Welcome to Dairy Queen!" over the mic. He spoke directly to my 5yo son and asked him what he wanted from the kids menu while walking him through it w/ questions. He instantly made the whole dining-in experience fun for my son and continued to do so throughout our visit. Other workers were equally kind and fun to interact with as well. Another even helped me back out in the parking lot when he stepped out to his car. Not a big deal, but along with the rest of our interactions, it spoke louder.
As for a restaurant review, the bacon cheeseburger was better than I remembered it, the fries are something I'd return for. The soft serve ice cream was also better than I recalled. Also, it wasn't hard to find a clean table and the bathrooms were in good shape.
Overall, very happy with our dining-in experience and not something I expected from a fast food restaurant. Thanks, Myron*!
