I had previously left a 5 star review. That was untill the Owners Daughter started working at the restaurant. We have a Service Dog. A small Westie. We along with Fred (the service dog ) had been coming to the restaurant for about 2 Years at least once a Week. The food is OK. I always ordered the same thing. Anyway. We came in a couple months ago. And we're Rudely ushered to a corner Booth and told the Dog had to be under the table. . NOT ACCORDING TO the Disability Act of America. Well the Owners Daughter had No idea what she was saying.she tried to tell me That her health inspector said thats what she should tell people about their Dogs. We are talking about a Service Dog, Not someone's pet or a emotional comfort Dog. Big Difference !!! Different Laws. So she made a scene , talking loud. Making sure everybody heard her and proceeded to grind her opinion into the ground I explained to her if she didn't quit, that we would leave. I even asked her if that's what she wanted. She said NO! But yet she kept badgering me. And as long as she kept it up , nobody came to take our order. So finally I/ We left. As we were leaving she ran up front and stated that She was Sorry we were leaving, to which I said "Really, it sure seems that was what you were going for " . Now I don't know about You , but I have a problem with excepting food from someone who is mad at me. Now that and the fact I have Military related PTSD. I really don't want to play. I'm very disappointed in Her stance. Her Father has been there dozens of times that we have been there and never said a word about the dog. She was rude, and her ranting cost them Our business. It's to easy to go somewhere else. I really wished I were not writing this and this episode never happened. I have called a few times and left massages for the owner to contact me . But he has not. To Bad. We will miss going there....

Read moreFortunately my husband and I didn't have to wait long to be seated...and that is where the positives of our visit to Hole 'n One stop. It didn't take long before I started wondering why this place had been given so many stars and recommendations from friends on Facebook.
I didn't think it possible for biscuits and gravy to be bad...but I was proven wrong. The biscuits were doughy on the inside, hard and difficult to cut on the outside and the gravy completely lacked flavor. There was no sides as I ordered à la carte, and what I got was two dried out hockey pucks barely covered with enough gravy to moisten it. I never thought it would require a knife and fork and a lot of chewing for biscuits and gravy but in this case, it did.
I would have said something to the server but I was starving, and the place was busy and she was overworked. Once she dropped off the food, she never came back except to refill a coffee cup and dash away again. In her defense, it was Valentines day and she was struggling to keep up.
My husband's omelette had little flavor, and was pretty lack luster as he called it. His "toast" wasn't even toasted...just slightly warmed, soggy bread. Both of us expected going in that breakfast foods are hard to mess up and we'd enjoy whatever we ordered...but we were left disenchanted by the entire experience.
One other thing I will mention is the place was not very clean. There were drips, splashes and splotches here and there that give the place "truck stop" vibes, but again, the server was overworked and it's hard to catch every little spill in a busy diner style place.
When it was all said and done, it was pretty expensive for our two very sad meals. $40 for the two of us including tip.
We won't...
