I have been to many of the Jerry Bob's through the years. This had the look and feel of the rest. We were there about 930am on Wednesday, and it was moderately busy at most. I ordered a basic breakfast of bacon, eggs o-m, home fries, and toast. The other guest in my party ordered grits in a bowl with o-m eggs on top and a side of bacon. After an acceptable amount of time, the waitress brought our order. We told her we had all that we needed at that moment. I through a little ketchup on the home fries and started looking at my eggs, which had that unsightly and often lacy nastiness of burnt edges cooked by people who don't know what they are doing and that ignorant wait staff serve anyway. So I picked up this signed hard disk and flipped it over to see if maybe I could get by with it, Nope. See pic. Partners' eggs were a little better, but the grits were too thick. The bacon could not have been more done, but we were okay with that. So, I set the used-to-be eggs aside and got on with it. Home fries were barely hot, so I knew by the time the staff came by, took those disks, and tried to get their idiot to make me some more eggs correctly and without any aggravated contaminants, my home fries and toast would be fully cold and I would be fully hot. Even though the wheel was empty. So after repeatedly ignoring the eggs sitting there, the staff eventually asked about them, again ignoring (see a pattern here?) the appearance of the eggs, forcing me to state the obvious the these were inedible. "Oh! I'll get you some more." Nope, you only get one shot at making a breakfast enjoyable for somebody. She put the plate in the dish tub without even showing them to the cook, whom was not busy, so he would know of an unhappy patron. She either didn't care or knew it would go nowhere but bad with the incompetent cook. So I finished up my cold potatoes and slightly soggy toast, ate the rest of my Partners bacon, and we got the F out. It's a real bummer, We go out to breakfast about once a month, and these are simple meals, and almost nobody can pull it off in a consistent manner. People have no pride...
Read moreMy husband and I had an hour between Dr appointments across Tucson from our home, so we dropped by Jerry Bob’s for lunch. It was so great from beginning to end. Jackie was our waiter, and she was a doll. Our food came quickly, and it was piping-hot and delicious. But there was another thing we loved: the atmosphere. Behind the counter were cuphooks for special coffee cups used by locals who frequently ate there, and there was a board where birthdays and anniversaries were displayed for those same customers for August, using their first names. The long hall to the clean restroom was adorned with pictures little customers had colored. There was also a little “shrine” for a veteran (and customer/friend) who had passed away. THIS is what brings folks back. This is how all restaurants and cafes should care about their customers. Honestly, it really touched my heart. And yes,...
Read moreVery disappointed in the experience here, took 20 minutes just to take our order on top of having to tell staff where ready to order we kept getting ignored. After the waiter then took our order we waited another 40 minutes just to get out food my patience was very low at this point after noticing customers whom then entered after us getting better service right way on top of receiving food within 20 minutes of waiting i then felt very upset because clearly staff prioritizes their regulars which is very unprofessional here. Ive been to all jerry bobs in tucson let alone being a server at one in a point in time. This has never happendd to us until i tried this location servers need to stop picking favorites on who gets better service more so they need to just focus on getting orders in and out. Very disappointing customer...
