We pass by pizza ranch every time we went through Ark City but never went, more out of fear than anything else. We thought because it was a pizza and fun zone it would be like chuck e cheese. We still had nightmares of kids birthday parties with screaming kids, so-so pizza, the noise and craziness. After being told that they had incredible chicken we decided to check it out. Steeling ourselves we walked in and walked out Again making sure we were in the right place. It was calm, no screaming kids, no parents freaking out. The young lady at the front counter was friendly and helpful. We selected the buffet. My son who does gluten free was told he could get the gf buffet and could pick any pizza he wanted and they would make it for him. The buffet had the best most incredible fried chicken we ever had. In 47 years if marriage I've never seen my husband devour chicken like he did. He declared it had the best salad bar he ever had. Bread sticks and marinara amazing. Mashed potatoes and gravy. He couldn't wait to go back. My.daughter couldn't believe how good everything was. My son who ordered gf couldn't believe how great it was. All of us enjoyed it. Unlike some other buffets where empty plates stack up on the table, staff was quick to remove the empty plates. The arcade portion was located away from the dining area. Overall a very pleasant experience that left us wanting to come...
Read moreI truly don't understand the 4.5 stars. Pizza Ranch is much like a real ranch. It ignores any accommodations beyond the entrance ramps. The overpriced buffet was a chaotic, sticky mess. If you have a gluten allergy, don't bother. As someone who has problems with gluten, I often depend on the salad bar at such places. There was little to satisfy, including the selection of salad dressings with no clear GF option. The worst part of our family's experience was the person in charge named Toni. When we had played our cards out on the handful of gaming machines, we went to let our seven year old grandson pick prizes. One of the prizes he wanted was an expandable plastic ball toy. It was in a bucket with slinky's labeled for 300 tickets. We offered to pay the cash difference. Toni refused to make it right and honor her company's display. She even tried to tell me that PR paid a lot more than fifty cents a piece for their cheap prize. If that's true, they're getting robbed. Ali Baba's carries them for $0.49 gross and it lights up. There are better pizza buffets. Pizza Ranch clearly loves their money more than customer experience. I hope that ruining a 7 year olds time in your establishment was worth it. We won't return. The VR games were not sanitized or able to be sanitized by customers (empty sanitization stations) So, avoid them if you value your health. We...
Read moreWe visited the restaurant just after 2pm. We took an indigent individual with us who eats about every 2 or 3 days. She couldn't even eat about one third of her plate due to her decreased stomach capacity. So we were going to take the remainder of her plate with us and requested a to go container and was told it would be an additional $8. We weren't getting food off the buffet, just what was left that she couldn't eat. Which was a partial chicken breast, mashed potatoes, 1 slice of pizza and 1 and a half bread sticks. Upon leaving I noticed their mission statement in the entry about glorifying God and making a positive impact on the customers and the community. I even explained the situation to the supervisor on duty and was explained that the $8 is policy for everyone. After leaving feedback on their website, the owner contacted me and didn't make the situation any better with her explanation of why. We left and purchased the individual a meal somewhere else to take with them. This policy is in my opinion completely opposite of their mission statement. It's better I guess to throw it out, than to possibly allow someone to eat later in the day or tomorrow. We will no longer be going to any Pizza Ranch establishment due to our policy of helping those less fortunate than ourselves....
