I UPDATED MY ORIGINAL REVIEW FROM 1 STAR TO 5 STAR SINCE THE RESTAURANT OWNER CONTACTED ME AND APOLOGIZED FOR WHAT OCCURRED WITH THIS EXPERIENCE. HE OFFERED A GENEROUS GIFT CARD TO THE PLACE. WITH ALL FAIRNESS HE MADE A BAD EXPERIENCE TO A POSITIVE ONE BY TRYING TO MAKE UP FOR IT. We placed a take out order at this place. Upon checking the order at home, the $11 appetizer Guacamole Acitron was not fresh and had turned dark as shown on the pictures. The $3 extra rice was missing from the order. When called the restaurant and spoke to the manager, he said they have been making fresh guacamole all night long with no complaint. I said I’m disappointed that you don’t treat takeout orders as good as people who dine in the restaurant if that’s the case and I will be posting a review with picture online so you can see the quality of guacamole. I told him this is the second time this has happened and I let it go last time. He said he didn’t like my tone and the threat I put with posting a bad review and had I not threatened him with a bad review, he would have tried to make up for the issue. I said you call me a liar by saying you have made fresh guacamole all night long and no way my order could be bad. Be aware of your takeout orders and check them out before you leave the restaurant. Some subpar business practices on takeouts and unapologetic management adds insult to injury.

My husband and I really wanted Mexican food for our Saturday night out. We found this restaurant on google and decided to give it a try. Parking near the restaurant was easy with a lot located less than 2 min walking distance. Upon arrival, we were seated to a table of our our choice. Our server, Jose, came over to introduce himself. Jose was very pleasant and offered some helpful insights to the menu and drinks. Our appetizer was Queso Fundido which we enjoyed very much and had to stop ourselves from over-indulging to save some room for our entree. For our meals, my husband had tacos de cameron (shrimp tacos) and I had mole poblano. I have to say it was the best mole sauce I’ve ever had and my sides of rice and beans were delicious. My husband was a fan of his dinner as well. For our dessert, we had Tres Leches, and we were not disappointed. It was the perfect ending to our meal. We thought that our dinner was well priced for the location, quality of food and the vibe. I would definitely recommend this place for your next Mexican meal. We are looking forward to seeing Jose again!

Acitron is a top notch Mexican restaurant in a pretty space and excellent service. The seating is comfortable and tables are not too close, so a pleasant vibe for a busy place. We were five at dinner on a Sunday night. Cocktails were very pretty, and on the table were salsa and chips. We added guacamole, medium spice and stuffed plantains, all delicious. Entrees show how much effort goes into real Mexican cooking, with complicated saucing and slow cooked meats. Each plate comes with a choice of sides, the usual rice and beans but also Mexican street corn, very nice. Service was friendly and brisk. Children would love this place. The menu would work for vegetarians and vegans, too. On an earlier visit I had a salad and the kitchen accommodated the changes I asked for. On street parking was easy, and the restaurant is handicap accessible.

I took my 86 year old grandpa to Acitron so he would try Mexican food. When I reserved a table I left a note about us preferring any table that allows for a bit larger leg space as my grandpa’s knees don’t bend well. I was unsure if any restaurants even read these notes anymore, as I never had any luck. Acitron was suuuuper accommodating!! Not only did they give us a table close to the window with a choice of a sofa or a chair, but they also moved other tables to create more space for his legs and his cane. All of it before we even arrived! Their kindness and attention to detail really touched my heart. Food was great as always. My grandpa left Acitron very-very happy. Now he likes Margaritas :)

Ate here with family. We had a reservation, and when we entered it was mostly empty but very quickly filled up with the dinner rush. I would recommend making a reservation. The food was great, I'd had their mole as takeout before and was still thinking about it months later. We had micheladas, which they can make with nonalcoholic beer. We tried the fried avocado which was interesting, but not spectacular. The mole with chicken was spectacular, as well as the fish tacos. We also tried Chile en nogada, and enmoladas. I highly recommend getting the elote as a side. The servers were very friendly and came to the table often. The water they served us was not cold though. Great experience overall.

From the moment you walk in, the smell of authentic Mexican Cuisine is in the air. You are greeted with a friendly smile and welcomed to deliciousness. We were seated right away at the table for 3. Ordered a Margarita, Mojito, and a Shot of Tequila Reposado. The Drink menu had a vast Variety of top of the line Tequilas, Mescal I ordered Shrimp Tacos Rice and Corn on the cob, My husband ordered Cochinita Pibil, and My daughter, Enmoladas de Pollo. Every dish was delicious and made with ingredients that take you back to the flavors of Mexico. I highly recommend this authentic Mexican restaurant and you can't go wrong with any dish on the menu.
