I love this place! And so happy to see this new location across from my job. I have been a fan of Anita’s and coming to their locations for years. This family owned establishment offers some of the best Mexican cuisine and Tex-Mex eats around the DMV. The food is always fresh and the portions-prices are fair. Also another key point is that the food here is well seasoned and authentic. My go to items include the Chimichangas, Huevos Rancheros (Christmas style or just red sauce), Chile Rellenos (a godly delicacy), and Posole. I say this, but I like just about everything on the menu. By the way, Christmas style means that you want both the red and green chilies sauce. Just holler out the word “Christmas” and they got you covered. Lol They have great lunch deals as well, between the hours of 11 AM and 4 PM, where you can get a full menu of items from tacos to enchiladas, salads and burritos. There is a combo, beef and chicken chimichanga special. that is killer! It is one of my favorite lunch items When ordering from here. The chimichanga is crispy and deep-fried to perfection. The meats-pilled into the chimichangas are so seasoned, tender, and flavorful. Not to mention, the combination of the fried chimichanga covered in a bath of cheesy red chilies sauce is outstanding ! I highly recommend you try this dish.

In all, I need to get two thumbs up from me! You can’t go wrong...

I went out on a date and it was my first time at the Arlington location, we normally go to the Springfield location but I was in the area so I decided to swing by. I Ordered a mango margarita to start the meal which was okayyy 6/10 I ordered a steak fajita at a medium temp And another mango margarita. The second drink was a 4/10 I received my order and proceeded to prep my first bite. I had my first bite and immediately found something off. The steak was not at the correct temperature which was okayyy to an extent but it kept getting worse. I noticed that the steak was not properly stored away which gave grey coloration. Anyone who has worked in the kitchen well knows what I mean but the combo of the meat being really undercooked plus the actual quality of the meat didn’t go hand and hand .1/10 I didn’t want to get sick especially with me starting my oncall work the following day so i had one bite and called it quits with the food and finished the rest of my drink. The venue and customers service were amazing. I really do love the location and atmosphere and energy the staff have . Would I go again to this location ?...

I was so excited to try this new New Mexican restaurant, especially being from New Mexico myself. Unfortunately, my experience has been nothing but disappointing. On my first visit, I ordered a breakfast burrito with both red and green chile, but there was barely any green chile at all. I decided to give them another chance, so on my second visit, I specifically asked for a green chile burrito—only to have it come out with red chile instead. I thought the third time might be the charm, so I requested a burrito with green chile and an extra side of green chile. This time, they only put the chile on the side—none inside the burrito! To top it off, they charged me extra for that side of chile.

I wanted so badly to enjoy this place, but each visit has left me more disappointed than the last. The lack of attention to detail and the inability to deliver on such a simple request have been incredibly frustrating. I won’t be...

We live in the neighborhood and have been waiting for Anita's to open since we knew it was coming. Today, Clarendon Day, we walked down after checking out Clarendon Day (easy walk from Clarendon Metro btw) and WOW . . . it was everything we were hoping for! The service was friendly and excellent. The Modelo draft was AMAZING in a frosty pint glass and the margarita according to Annie - the best in Arlington! We got the Sampler and it was wonderful. We Shall Return! : ) Brad & Annie PS. Thanks to Alex, Angelica, and Tommie - you have a wonderful restaurant ! : ) PSS. It's right across from the new George Mason University Complex on N. Fairfax Dr. (2 blocks from the Clarendon Orange Line Metro Stop)

I was so HAPPY to find out that there was an Anita's in my area!!! I only discovered Anita's when I used to work in Vienna back in like 2015. There is one litteraly down the street from my previous employer (NFCU). I ordered 3 BB special, 1 BB steak, 1 side of plantain, and 2x chicken empanada. The plantains came with 6 pieces, which a couple had a weird after taste. The empanadas were different. Didn't know they used corn. The breakfast steak burrito had more eggs than steak. The BB special burrito is always good. Will definitely try other items on the menu but will not be ordering the breakfast steak burrito, plantains, or the empanadas.
