Chicken Express — Restaurant in Arlington

Unfortunately, we have spent so much money at this location due to the convenience of it being right down the street from our house and have been disappointed time and time again. Shame on us. There have been several...and I mean SEVERAL occasions where we have held our tongue and just dealt with the incorrect orders, left out food, cold food and the worst of all...hair wrapped around a chicken strip...but today, believe it or not, was the last and FINAL straw. Ever since they went under new management/ownership, I can count on one hand the times when our order has been right and without any issues. Pathetic. It's fast food for heaven's sake...how hard can it be? Today...after a long 14 hour shift at work, I just wanted to enjoy a fast, hot meal that I didn't have to cook. Well, apparently we the customers, are asking for too much. After my boyfriend and I were more than halfway through our meal, he saw a BUG crawling in the middle of his coleslaw! A BUG! Since the issue with the hair wrapped around the strip, we were given the District Manager's contact info and when we reached out via text...with image attached, he was more than happy to replace our meal....REALLY!?!? I just spent $18.24 for food that had a BUG in it and you go to your typical response of "let me replace your meal for free"??? I don't know about you, but I wouldn't want to go back to a place that has bugs in their food...so when we politely said "thank you, however we would just like a refund due to all of the issues we've been experiencing," he then called and said we would have to bring the rest of the food up there TODAY and they would do a refund for us. First of all, I'm pretty sure it's a health code violation to accept someone's food that has been touched (and by this point, THROWN IN THE TRASH) back through your drive-thru window, secondly, it was less than 30 minutes until they closed and I have to be at work again tomorrow at 4:45 am and lastly, frankly...HECK NO. So again, my boyfriend was polite and said "no, thank you, we'll just take our business elsewhere and dispute the charge on our card." Well...I'm not as polite...I work in the customer service industry, and although he was very nice over the phone, to not offer any other sort of option for refunding our money is unacceptable. Don't tell me that's the only way to get a refund. I've had to do $10,000 refunds over the phone...so you're only fooling yourself if you think that line is going to work on me. As soon as the charge officially is processed on my card, I will be disputing it and I am blasting this review, ALONG WITH IMAGES (if they allow them), on every site possible. New management/ownership means nothing. This place has gone so far downhill, in my eyes, I'll never waste another cent there and I recommend you go somewhere else too. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Convenience isn't...

So I want to start by saying being young and having your first or second job will come with a lot of learning experiences and curves and I get that . With that being said learn to read the room . My sister and I drove from Houston to Arlington to visit family for the holidays . We order a two piece chicken (leg and breast) with Mac two piece chicken (leg and thigh) with okra a gizzard with corn and an apple pie . 3 large drinks . We pulled around to pay . We waited about 2-3 minutes & were then asked to pull up . No problem we then proceed to was it about another 10 minutes or so . We check over the food they're missing the okra and the mashed potatoes so after extra time to get the order right it's wrong . Fine we go inside to get the stuff my sister asks did you get your apple pie ? I didn't see it in the bag I went back in & ask the girl can I have one . She's adamant to the point of almost going back and forth with me that she put it in the bag . Girl it's a $1 pie and yall done already messed up my order & I've already been waiting just give me the dang pie . They gave my sister a leg and thigh after she requested a breast and thigh & we weren't even complaining about that . . I had to call my sister to prove to her we had looked & didn't see the pie . She then grabs the pie with an attitude and puts it on the counter & just walks off no I'm sorry for the confusion our apologies for messing up your order nothing . I get to the car my sister finds the pie & I just return the one she gave because I wasn't trying to get a free pie I just wanted the pie I paid for and multiple things were already missing I mean who wouldn't be frustrated if their food came out like that and man I would have paid for another pie if I wanted another pie . Going back and forth after yall already messed up and having an attitude with me is crazy . So we just got to our hotel .....guess what NO STRAWS ! Incredible . Just all around unprofessional . I was gonna give it a pass but once we got to the hotel & the straws were missing too after she was flippant absolutely not . Young teenager being a manager is a no go . Getting emotional and attitude over a $1 pie after already messing up someone’s order in multiple ways . Even if I was trying to get a pie which I was not why create a bigger problem when yall were...

As my first job experience I would never in my life work here again idc if this was the last job on earth.this place is disgusting and nasty there’s full of Mexican workers in there that are racist and disrespectful I had enough let’s talk about how dirty it be in the inside and how roaches and bugs be on the wall and how nasty and uncooked the food be this place needs to be shut down ASAP and for my first paycheck I got the right amount I need to get but than they made me work over night knowing I got school and I am a teenager and which is a law where teenagers shouldn’t worked over night but instead they end up breaking that rule and payed me $45 dollars for my paycheck after I worked hard everyday, and idk who’s running that fast food but they have a 18-19 year old manager her name is Natalie she is weird and disrespectful made me clock out and change my schedule multiple times for no reason I never disrespected her and her lil minions she is lazy and does not deserve a manager spot her spot his giving more of taking the trash outside another things is she continues talking about me in Spanish not only that they had a short lady i don’t know who mom that was but she got in my face like I couldn’t use two fingers to push her I hope y’all see her idk her name but she short and doesn’t know English I hope she gets fired to I hope this whole place gets shut down and for the people that’s reading this don’t eat at here we had complains everyday and I was sick of it idk why they got 3 stars when they supposed to have zero I hate this place and this is one of the reasons why I wouldn’t work at fast food being a teenager while people Eating in the restaurants y’all be safe always look at y’all food and the...
