Good spot to roll up your sleeves and get a little messy eating fresh seafood out of plastic bags that are packed with delicious spices and seasonings. The crawfish is their speciality but you can get shrimp, crab legs, lobster, oysters, wings, and lots of other fried options.
There are a ton of side dishes that can accompany your seafood fest from sausage/corn, different types of fries, and a lot of other options. They can cover you with plastic bibs and give you gloves to peel your crawfish/shrimp so there is no need to worry about your clothes getting dirty. They also have a watering hole in the dining area where you can wash down your arms and hands after eating.
I always get the crawfish and shrimp whenever I go along with some other sides or main dishes, though I will say that not everyone is a fan of crawfish. If you get a pound of either it always come with potatoes and cut up corn cobs. There are 3 different spices/seasonings you can choose from for the seafood or you can do a mix of all 3 called 'Oh Dang' (what I would recommend). You can also choose your heat level.
4*s for always being good food, having good service, and an overall good time whenever we go. It's nothing out of this world but it's a good time where you can play with tasty food and drink some beers while enjoying company. Oh, this is a good place to have actual conversations with people because you won't be using your phone while sucking the head...
Read moreEDIT: 3rd and last time I'll ever go there again. It was a COMPLETELY empty bar and there were multiple bartenders behind the counter but they never checked on us. When my wine as empty she took my glass but didn't even ask if I want something else. I got the flatbread because it always looks good when I walk by, but it was mostly just bread with like NO pesto and the bread base was a weird texture and flavorless. Overall service and food are sub-par. The service made me reduce my stars. On an empty night I am shocked at such terrible service. I think people love this place because it's very insta worthy and if one doesn't know about wine, it's helpful having pre-selected flights and such. However, a lot of the wines aren't worth it in my opinion.
I REALLY wanted to like this place more since I am obsessed with wine after living in Europe for 4 years. The service and food have not been great. I ordered some bruschette and it was bad enough, but especially considering how expensive it was for bad quality bread and (very little) un-flavorful toppings, I was bummed. I was also told dogs aren't allowed on the patio but have since passed by almost every day to see dogs there. Really bad start to me moving into town and trying to find new places to make my regular spots. I will give it that the vibe...
Read moreI recently visited Verre Wine Bar in Arlington, VA, and it was an absolutely delightful experience! From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, with a chic and modern decor that set the perfect tone for the evening.
The wine selection was extensive and thoughtfully curated, featuring a diverse range of options from both local vineyards and renowned international wineries. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about wine, providing excellent recommendations that perfectly complemented our meal.
Speaking of the meal, the food was outstanding. The small plates were expertly crafted, with a focus on fresh, high-quality ingredients. Each dish was a work of art, both in presentation and flavor. The charcuterie board and the truffle fries were particular highlights, but everything we tried was delicious.
The service was impeccable, with attentive and friendly staff who made us feel right at home. They took the time to explain the menu and wine list in detail and checked in regularly to ensure we had everything we needed.
Overall, Verre Wine Bar exceeded all my expectations. It's the perfect spot for a date night, a gathering with friends, or any occasion where you want to enjoy great wine and exceptional food. I can't...
