Simply put, this place is excellent. We were a group of 12 and the minute we walked in, we received a warm welcome and we were not rushed out as the last customers at the restaurant. Our overall experience was fantastic. We sat down and were given a few moments to look over the unique drink menu, as a whiskey drinker, I started with the whiskey cocktail and had a single malt night cap, was nice to see high quality scotches at an desi restaurant. We started with apps, I can’t think of a bad one, but the ones that stood out were the butter chicken wings (lots of flavor), jalapeño mirchi (spicy) and the desi poutine, all so good. As a big fan of lamb, we had to do the chops which lived up to expectation. For the mains, traditional saag chicken and lamb vindaloo were delicious, we also got bhindi masala and daal makhani for balance (need some veggies). I saved a separate line for what surprised me the most, jack fruit curry, yes, this was incredible. If you’re vegetarian, it’s a MUST TRY, how they make the texture and taste so real, just have to try it for yourself. Obviously rice and naan to complement the food. Lastly, for desert, I am a huge fan of rasmalai which also lived up to expection while the galab Jamun was slightly too sweet for me. If your looking to get an desi food fix, you need to try this place, I would...
Read moreI like their chicken wings, tandoori chicken, pani puri and kulfi because they are the best items. The mint lemonade aka nimbu pani is just full of black salt and I personally did not like it. Mango lassi is also ok. Apart from the food, I like the way how they serve it. It’s very pleasing to the eyes and love the Bollywood vibes. The only thing I wanna mention is that we ordered masala dosa which was tasteless and it should’ve some spices cuz it’s name is masala. All the Indian food is known for its spices but their entree’s lack the spices. I’m giving 4 stars for the vibe and ambiance. Also, the entree’s are not as good as the appetizers and mini bites. I highly recommend this place if you wanna have a good time and good street style snack. It was my husband’s birthday so they put a little candle on the kulfi platter which was super cute.
Just a note to management that please put sanitizers across the restaurant since it’s now a basic need. I asked for sanitizer and was told there’s one on the table that had plates, napkins etc for the server but it was empty and it’s not practical to have only one sanitizer for whole restaurant (which is empty), then I was told that I can go to the bathroom to...
Read moreWalked over from the hotel. But there is plenty of parking.
We were promptly seated. The server was nice but never had a smile on his face. Was polite anf sort of helpful.
The chilli or spicy food is really hot. Be warned. I ordered the Chilli Chrcken to begin with my drink Drunken Auntie. Burnt my mouth spicy but was delicious and I finished all of it with some help. My party ordered some paño puri that came out in a slick cart with a flight of shot glasses of pani puri.
For the main course we ordered Chaat paapdi, that was ok. The chole bhatura was different in terms of the bhaturi being in triangular shapes. I did not try this myself so no comments. Great presentation of the food. For myself I ordered the Tiffin with Garlic Naam, Butter Chicken, Chicken Vindaloo, and Daal Makhani. Finished the hot like fire Vindaloo crying for water and Rose lassi to cool things down. But it was tasty. Has most of the butter chicken anf some of the daal. I would say the tiffin is for two people with an extra order of bread.
One of my top Indian restaurants. Decor was modern. Food was great. Service with a smile would be nice. I would mark this as one of my favorites and definitely...
