Fito's Tacos de Trompo — Restaurant in Arlington

I’ve always enjoyed Fito’s and the consistently delicious food they provide, but unfortunately, my experience at the Arlington location today was a disappointing exception. I would recommend visiting the Grand Prairie or Dallas locations instead, as this one falls short of the high standard I’ve come to expect.

When placing my order at the drive-thru, I politely asked if it was possible to substitute the fries for something else. The cashier responded in an unnecessarily aggressive tone, saying, “We don’t provide anything other than fries and that’s it. Do you want fries or no fries?” I always strive to treat service workers with kindness, but her tone made me feel like I was an annoyance rather than a valued customer.

I hope management takes the time to address this, as no one seeking a good meal deserves to feel unwelcome. The cashier I interacted with was an older woman with blonde hair, and I’d suggest offering her additional training on the importance of customer service—or perhaps considering a different role that better suits her strengths.

This poor interaction seemed to reflect in the quality of my meal as well, as the torta mixta I ordered was lackluster compared to the usual standard I love at Fito’s.

I truly hope the Arlington location makes the necessary improvements so it can provide the same excellent food and service as the other locations. Until then, I’ll be taking my...

I’m a big Fito’s fan, and the food at this location was good, however, I ordered 2 Trompo burgers, and after I paid they shortly after informed us that Could only make one burger because they didn’t have hamburger patties, which is fine. The difference in what I ordered to replace that burger was $1.50. I paid the $1.50 with my debit card because I don’t carry cash. After the meal I checked my bank transactions, and they actually charged me $2.30. I feel like this cost me more, because they didn’t have what I asked for originally. This was a negative experience. UPDATE: 01/30/22 I dived here again with my daughter. Whereas the tacos were delicious, the fries were not. They seemed like they were barely cooked. I could taste that uncooked taste that frozen fries have when they are thawed but not yet cooked. The fries were limp and very bendable. Not good at all. The Grand Prairie location always makes...

I've been past this location many times but never stopped in for food until today. I wanted to try a variety of tacos to see what the proteins tasted like and I wasn't disappointed. Service was great and fast. All of the food was hot and well seasoned. I had 1 each of the Trompo, Pollo, and Bistec on corn tortillas as well as a side of frijoles Charros. Prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get. The tacos included onion, cilantro, limes, and I got some of the grilled onions as well. All of the toppings just completed the tacos perfectly. I had never had Trompo before today and I loved the bright red color. I will definitely be having it again as well as visiting this location again. If you're in the area you should stop in and try this location if you really like authentic tasting...
