Saigon Deli Sandwich — Restaurant in Arlington

If I could give this place a zero, I would. I love Vietnames Sanwiches and usually ordered them from Saigon Deli in Haltom City or Arlington, Texas. Today 1/8/25 the weather is a cold. I though having some Vietnames Sanwishes for diner might be good. So about 2:00 p.m. I went to Saigon Deli in Arlington to order 4 sandwiches, 2 conbinations and 2 barbercues. After I getting some sanwiches, I had to ran some errances and did not get home until 6:40 pm. When I got home and was ready to eat, I opened my order and found that this Saigon Deli gave me the old rotten sanwiches. Please see the pictures below. Pay attendtion to the cucumbers, the jelapeno, BBQ sandwiches and nepkins. It looked like they got those out of the trash can and gave them to me. I called the place, the manager already left the store. The lady who was still there could not speak English. One of the customers helped translate (It was very knid of her). The lady who was still at the store asked me to go to talk to the manager tomorrow. How could anyone gives the old rotten food to the customers? This is unbelieveable. I am not going back to this...

We used to love this place, but has gone downhill. This place is unappreciative of its patrons - big warning if you decide to go.

We called in for a medium sized order and the lady seemed extremely annoyed for a simple order. We felt unwelcomed and as if we needed a favor from this establishment. We don’t expect Michelin star service, but just simple and very basic courtesy. They’re sandwiches. It’s not complicated.

Anyways, we decided to brush it off and make our way to the deli to pick up the order. When we arrived, none of the staff acknowledged that any orders were placed for us. They were very unprofessional and unapologetic since we actually called back earlier to confirm our order. They were annoyed because we didn’t want to wait “5 mins”.

Bottom line, don’t waste your time placing an order. If you go, expect to experience bad service on another level.

They have really good food. I’ll go as far as to say they have the best Bahn Mi in the area. However this is the second time I asked the person over the phone”what type of drinks do you have?” The first time I asked that and do you have any Boba? They hung up in my face and I got what I got without a drink. The second time I asked, I don’t know if she understood me, but she hung up in my face again after constantly repeating the order when I’m asking what type of drinks do you have. This is really frustrating especially where I live having to drive an extra 15 minutes after work to go to this place that I really enjoy but the person on the phone never seems to understand what I’m asking for. I work in customer service as well, and I’d make sure I learn even just a little bit of my client languages. So when I ask a simple question like that, and I’m just hung up in my face after it really does hurt the Client experience.
