I’ve been here plenty of times and I’ve always loved their food. Normally I get their original chicken sandwich. Today, I tried the deluxe that has lettuce, tomato, cheese, and turkey bacon. I also got the Shy Guy spice level rather than the one above it. I think the deluxe is not the best form for their sandwich. I think the original with the slaw and the comeback sauce is way better, and it lets you focus more on the flavor of the chicken itself. I also think the flavoring of the Shy Guy spice level could be higher. I think a lot of their flavor just naturally comes from their spicier levels due to the spiciness being an integral part of their whole idea (Sichuan x Nashville). The chicken itself is nothing short of amazing. Cooked perfectly and very crispy. A real fresh tender chicken thigh. I think their fries are great, even when soggy. I saw someone complaining about the fries being soggy because they use a cardboard box. I hope they realize that any kind of box would make fries soggy and they have an unrealistic expectation of how fries could stay crispy in a box that traps steam to keep the food warm. I got the yuzu lemonade which I’ve gotten a few times and I like it because it’s a good level of sweetness and tartness. Overall, love this place, the people are always nice, highly recommend.

So far, my favorite chicken sando spot in the DMV!! Love this place and all the sandos are super good; the chicken is always crispy and juicy. Been here so many times and havent been disappointed with any of the sandwiches. My personal favorites are the Taj Mahawt and the Miso Honey. The Miso Honey is a slightly sweet sandwich with some hints of miso bitterness and a crispy sandwich. The bun is excellent and fluffy with nice gloss. The Taj Mahawt is so good. It has hints of curry with some chili oil which adds a ton of character to the classic sandwich and bun. I enjoy getting this sandwich every time and if you like fusion flavors I’m sure you would love this sandwich. The Seoul King is good too especially for ranch lovers or those who love a bit of acidity. I found it a bit much but my significant other really loved it. Original chicken sandwich is good too! Comes with a ton of comeback sauce! The fries were okay. They can be a hit or miss depending if they don’t cook and crisp them for long enough. Or Since it is a shared eating space, you can sit wherever you please. Service was good.

I have to rave about Hot Lola's of the service. I came in just as they were opening, literally as the door was unlocked, and the staff facilitated a rather extensive order PERFECTLY. The staff helped me through knowing which heat level to order, offered to provide the sandwiches deconstructed (had a long ride and didn't want them to get soggy) and provided the perfect amount of sauces and sides to fill out bellies. When asked about the ownership, I was unexpectedly greeted by the owner himself and had a great exchange about his journey in the restaurant business and the inspiration behind Hot Lola's. Experience and service are big for me, sometimes more than the taste of the food. Hot Lola's executes in all of the above. Will certainly be back. Oh! Spice hunters beware: the 'Flippin' Hot' is... Flipping HOT! Certainly put us on our backs, begging for mercy. Consume with courage. Haha.

Food was amazing and the chicken tenders and fries I got was really great. However, what really made me dislike this place was the service I received. When I walked up to the counter to pay my order, the cashier was eating some snack before hand and didn't welcome or anything. I had to speak first and place my order, while she had a terrible attitude the whole time. While I was placing my order, she continued to eat chips and drink whatever drink she was drinking while talking to me. Then in the middle of my order, another employee from a restaurant nearby came over to try to talk with the manager there about swapping food for food between resturaunts for lunch or something, but the cashier completely just walked away from us to go listen in. When she came back, she finished our order and when she turned the screen around for me to sign and tip, she continued to have a really terrible attitude. We sat down, and waited for our food to come out, but apparently the food for the guy from the other resturant was a higher priority because it came out before ours. Finally we got our order and the person who handed it out also seemed to not care either and just handed me the tray without saying anything even after I thanked him. We later had to go back to the cashier to ask for some water cups from their water fountain thing and for a box and she gave it to us while eating and without any words, just with a sly look on her face. While we sat and ate, someone else had problems with trying to get the cashier's attention to order because she was too concentrated on staring down at the food that was brought to them from the other resturaunt for the trade off. It was very rough service but the food was great honestly. Service like that made me very unsure of ever...

I was coming from work and Hungry so I stopped by Hot Lola's, looked over the menu and the Tenderdog sounded very catchy and interesting so I Purchased it Best $6.27 I Spent without getting any side or drink!! I got the O.G. spiced Hotness and lemme tell you it's bomb!!! Just the right amount of kick but like 3 steps hop scotch squares forward but not nose running or over powering but a little water for balance hell I had to for my acid reflux lol. It came in a little box on an actual hot dog ish little buttery bun and they give you a Thick juicy fried chunk breast strip, Topped with Hella Cole Slaw and I'm not a Fan of Cole Slaw but babyyyyy it paired hella well with the sandwich-like Tenderdog. It comes with Sweet Butter pickle slices, something you'd get from the carnival or a Food truck with some down south /Nashville type Area. The Cole Slaw was just right I mean not too Mayonnaisey, not too salty, not a runny mixture when put on the chicken I mean it was lovely the presentation, The Pairing of all items, All the Flavors you have in one sitting. I was told by the cool cashier it's for kids in which you can get it Not Hot/Spicy they have different levels on a chart so you choose how you want it to be which was cool. But the cashier said also if you're not hungry hungry it's a Great thing to order and He was right but I got it due to the name lol. And it was filling I didn't eat until say 11:00pm so that Tenderdog hit the spot indeed. I'll definitely be returning to Hot Lola's for a Tenderdog just not everyday since its fried, but most definitely enjoyed my Mini meal for sure!! Thank You Hot Lola's for...
