This used to be my favorite place to get pho and spring rolls. I go here at least once a month, and the food was always in good condition.
Today I had to make a 4 hour drive and hadn't eaten since I woke up. I thought, "hmm maybe ordering some spring rolls to go wouldn't be a bad idea since it's good food and the restaurant is located near the freeway."
So I start the trip already, and as I'm driving away after picking up my food (already on the freeway) my girlfriend noticed something dark inside one of the spring rolls. It was a damn fly, a whole easily noticeable insect inside of my food. We drove all the way back in hopes of getting something in exchange for the mishap, because we expected the restaurant's customer service to equal the quality of their well known food. But then, sadly, instead were even more disappointed.
I showed the dude at the register my food and he didn't say anything. I asked him what should we do about it and he only offered to remake them without offering any type of compensation or extra items, etc. which me, being a loyal customer, would've accepted. But instead he was adamant on either giving me the exact amount of money back, or remaking the spring rolls.
When I asked him what about the gas money and time that I had wasted making the effort to come all the way back, and on top of that be open to take a fair deal, he continued to only give me those 2 options.
After about 10 minutes of going back & forth, he failed to regain my trust in the restaurant, and said "you want gas money? Here." And threw me a $20 bill. The order was almost $18. This all happened while, what looked like the owner or manager, was standing there next to me. Who never said a word to me or even looked at me, opened both boxes and took them. He didn't even throw them away. Which makes me think they must be used to situations like these. And with those standards of sanitation, will they be reusing those same spring rolls to serve another loyal customer?
I have worked as a server before for a small local restaurant and I know how food is supposed to be handled, and how loyal customers should be treated. Since first coming here I have gotten at least 10 people to try their food. I was hoping to show my family this restaurant and help their business grow, but what I experienced today was pathetic and I wouldn't want any of my loved ones to go through any of this. Now I will not even trust the Cooper St. location for lunch, which is closer to where I work.
If you love flies in your food and wasting time & money, this is the perfect...
Read moreI have called this place at least once a week. to order food. I am ALWAYS provided with chicken. However, apparently management answered this time and ordered the wrong food and never confirmed the order when I places the order. You can look on their online menu and it always shows chicken. When I let them know of this issue they said I ordered wrong and that this is my fault but if I came back and picked up the chicken they would not charge me. They could not deliver it to me and would not make any other exceptions. I explained that the pork received would not work as my manager is unable to eat pork and we were provided with the wrong order and I need something more than doing what they were supposed to do the first time. He just kept saying it was my fault and he did nothing wrong. Explained that if he was not willing to help me out to let me speak to someone who would help, he said he was the person. I asked why I had ordered from this place so many times and all the employees got it right but not him and he just kept repeating that I ordered wrong.
He never repeated the order back to me and before I explained who I was he already knew who I was because my thinking he knew he messed up. I explained that if he did not help me out as the customer I would write reviews explaining my experience. He said I could do whatever i wanted so since he felt no need to help me out I ended the call.
If an order is messed up and your online menu doesn't match your in store menu that is NOT the customers fault. When you are made aware of this you take it into consideration and understand that it WAS a company issue and try to accommodate the customer not just blow them off. I always tell people how amazing you are, which is why we order from here once a week to every two weeks. However, the fact that you were so rude and inconsiderate of your customer I will make sure that we are all aware how you feel about your customers. So disappointing and upset that employees handle their jobs better than a supposed manager....
Read moreMy husband and I have always seen this Pho shop but weren't too impressed until we saw they are under new management now. We walked in and was immediately greeted by the lovely staff. We sat down and the booth was spacious and clean. The menus were beautiful and easy to read with all the prices labeled. We both ordered the large Pho bowls with flank beef to and extra meatballs, also two orders of their crispy eggs rolls. While we waited on our food, we noticed there were many condiments to choose from and everything was clean, not sticky and well maintained. This was the first Pho restaurant we have been to that had pickled garlic!! It was DELICIOUS! Also, lemme tell you that the chili oil is SPICY SPICY so use sparingly but oh my goodness so flavorful!! We received our food quickly, and everything was piping hot. The egg rolls and the sauce that it comes with was AMAZING! The sauce had a slight spice to it, but quickly turned into just flavor after a few chews. We devoured our food and made sure to leave a good tip in the tip jar. I think it is ran by a family. They really do care about the quality of their food. Be courteous and always stack your plates and clean up your mess before you leave so it is easy clean up for the staff member when you leave. It's a nice way to let the restaurant know you were completely satisfied with your meal. Our waters stayed filled and the water was cold and delicious. Thank you so much! We...
