Thanh Thanh — Restaurant in Arlington

My wife and I just had our wedding at Thanh Thanh this past Saturday (12.11.21) and it was everything we ever dreamed of! Everything was a smooth process from planning our menu for our 9 course meal to the execution of everything. Thanh Thanh staff really went above and beyond to make sure our wedding was a success and the food was amazingly delicious—our guest kept complimenting how well Thanh Thanh prepared the food! They even went out of their way to made sure we got the best fruits for our dessert table and that’s what really made me love them. Usually the weddings that I attend at Thanh Thanh they usually have the typical strawberry, orange and grape for fruits but Thanh Thanh made sure we had the best of the best for everything and got us rambutan fruit!! Oh! And I cannot forget about the security that was watching over our wedding in the foyer, officer Hieu was constantly checking in on my wife and I to make sure we weren’t TOO intoxicated! Great handsome officer who is very observant of our guest and I wouldn’t be surprise if our guest tried to purposely get arrested by him 😉😜. Well, let me start with the first when I walked in. I understand I’m a black man or a man of color but out the gate the looks I got when I first walked in to get ready to make my purchase on the mail thanks to our recommendation from a friend that said they had wonderful food. I did not feel welcome the first and foremost. Secondly, I get to the counter to place my order to go because now I do not want to sit in here because I feel very uncomfortable instead of me getting ready to spend the original amount of money I was getting ready to spend now I’m just gonna go to takeout and just order now here’s the messed up part I get to the counter get the menu and I was Literally coerced into ordering what he wanted me to get so I can get them off the restaurant you can feel how he was rushing me to order. And lastly, when I got my food, it was handed to me if you was there you had to experience if you’re A person of color you know what I’m talking about my food is handed to me placed on a table in a rush manner, and the lady said in a tone that indicated she wanted me to leave the restaurant immediately. Today, we enjoyed our go-to Seven Courses of Beef along with other grilled beef specialties. The food, as always, was outstanding, but what truly made our experience unforgettable was the exceptional service provided by our waitress, Lan. From the moment we sat down, Lan made us feel welcome with her warm, friendly demeanor. Her knowledge of the menu, kindness, and genuine attentiveness to our needs elevated our lunch to something truly memorable. She went above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect, and it was her care that made our meal even more enjoyable.
