Ordered boxes of sandwiches for a work event for 30 folks in advance and paid $40 for delivery, only for them to deliver 40 minutes late.
Called after 15 mins to check on status, and the guy insisted the delivery time was one hour after the time listed in my confirmation emails then doubled back and said my order was going out the door now. Waited 10 mins and called again because our office is 600 feet away and he told me the Uber is pulling up now but also said he couldn't contact the Uber when I asked for confirmation. Finally got a call from the driver, and he said he was pulling up. 10 minutes pass and he calls again and says Uber put in the wrong address (??) but he was pulling up now. 5 minutes later, he showed up and we went up to the floor it was supposed to be delivered to with me lugging 4 huge bags while he had just the one.
Rosslyn is filled with businesses and Potbelly's needs to be reliable if they're going to offer catering and be competitive. I get things happen and orders fall through the cracks, but you just have to be transparent when it happens. I would have much rather told my meeting the food was going to be late than constantly being strung along. Food was fine but the frustrating experience means we'll be looking...
Read moreWhere do I start? Well, if I can give a 0 I would. I’ve visited the Arlington location on N. Lynn a on occasions a few months back and didn’t like the service. I recently started going back within last couple months they hired a young man who was respectful and listened to the customers. On Thursday, I was appalled at the unprofessionalism the female supervisor (Devin) displayed. The young man was on break and when he saw me come in he went back on the line to help a coworker because the line was getting long and he had his AirPods in but being he was helping his associates he sanitized masked up and started working. The supervisor comes up and snatched the earphones out screaming at him in front of the customers. He told her he was on break and he was helping the co worker the supervisor was condescending, belligerent, and didn’t apologize to the customers. She started ranting about firing the young man and he maintained professionalism as corporate needs to do something with this supervisor. That lowers the moral and causes a hostile environment. I will be taking my business to Jersey Mikes to cater my office party. You never know who you are entertaining in public eye. Potbelly may need to reconsider who they put in...
Read moreThe work ethic of the employees at this potbelly is horrible. The employees lazily lounge on the side table txting. Saw multiple times people had to go up to ask for napkins because the napkin dispensers were all empty. Even after this, instead of doing something useful and stocking the napkin dispensers, they just went on to go sit and txt and not stock the napkins. Customers looked irritated. Also the meat weighing scale just looks nasty and should be cleaned regularly , refrigerated, or use disposable wax paper on top. By the looks of it, the meat scale just sits out in the open in a non refrigerated environment, and the deli meat slime covered surface just festers in the open room temperature air all day long. This is a food safety concern and good place for bacteria to grow throughout the day if this weighing scale surface is not cleaned regularly. Either it needs to be chilled cleaned ever 30 minutes or use disposable wax paper on time. Or maybe forget the scale to begin with and just put the meat directly in the sandwich instead of the employees wasting a minute subtracting and adding one piece of meat to get the...
