I literally just left this place and I had to immediately leave a review because of the level of service I received. I originally ordered a bacon, scrambled egg, and cheddar cheese on cinnamon raisin bagel. I went to the car and tasted the sandwich and was very much underwhelmed and disappointed in the product. The bagel was hard and barely toasted. It tasted more like it was microwaved than toasted. The scrambled egg had no fluff flat sheet of egg/egg product, literally flatter than a crepe lol and folded a couple times, the bacon was hard and brittle and almost flavorless, and the cheese wasn’t melted whereas nothing about the sandwich was hot enough to melt the cheese. I’m aware of cheddar cheese and how it doesn’t melt as easy as American so trust me on this. I go to return the sandwich and asks the guy at the register could they make me something else. His body language was a bit off putting as he asks what is was I wanted. I utter “I guess I’ll go with the white fish salad on croissant” no sooner than I say croissant he immediately walks walks off from the register and into the back only to return in about 3-4 minutes placing the sandwich in a bag, hands it to me and says “have a good day, sir”. I’m like ”you didn’t even give me a chance to tell you if I wanted anything else on the sandwich?!?!” He says “you said you wanted (white fish salad croissant)” I’m like “yea and you just walked off!” It’s experiences like this that really make you miss the mom and pop shops that delivered a quality product with a smile. These corporations don’t prioritize quality and customer service just profits and cost of goods sold. I’ll never patron this place again. It’s not my fault you’re delivering a disgusting product. And here I tipped a $1 on my total. It’s not much but hell I don’t have to. I’m sure he won’t receive...
Read moreThis is a great bagel place! Stopped by near a hotel I was staying at around the corner. Delicious bagels and coffee. I tried the colorful (plain) bagel, got a half-dozen of various kinds, ordered a very satisfying steak, egg, & cheese breakfast sandwich on a toasted jalapeño cheddar bagel and oh boy was it great!
Also picked up their dark roast coffee and loved it. Perfectly complemented my breakfast bagel in scent and flavor.
The place is near Rosslyn Metro and was fairly busy when I walked in. Friendly staff nonetheless, but they were moving, trying to get everyone's orders in. I ended up waiting maybe 10-15 minutes before I got my food. Very worth it, though 👌.
I have to recommend everything I listed above, yes, but especially the colorful bagel pictured below. It was a plain bagel, but so vibrant and yummy that--when paired with their fantastic strawberry cream cheese (chef's kiss)--I got to admit, it made me feel like I was finally eating the mouth-watering, imaginary food at the lost boys' table in that scene from "Hook". Oh man... I could go back for more.
5/5 stars. No further explanation...
Read moreIt was a really good flagel! The only flagel flavor options were sesame and everything. I wish they had more flavors, but I was pleased with the sesame seed one. They had all different kinds of full size bagel options. I just wanted a thinner bagel, and I got just that.
There is a whole menu of cream cheese. They have vegan, lite, savory, and sweet. I decided to try the olive cream cheese. It was definitely a generous schmear of cream cheese in this bagel. More cream cheese than bagel. I also saw that they have egg salad, chicken salad, hummus, and even whitefish salad.
They open at 7am and close at 2pm. There were just a few customers when I arrived close to 7:15am. I did see a lot of larger delivery orders going out the door. Most likely headed to the businesses in the surrounding area.
The service was quick and efficient. My flagel was crispy on the outside, and it was still warm when I got back to the hotel. The olive cream cheese was very tasty and satisfying. I'd go back for breakfast if I ever return to the...
