Love the pizza... however..... Last week I stopped in the Rosslyn location and was quite satisfied that there was a mask policy (and they even sell them) for employees and customers as stated in several notices at the entrance and inside the store. I felt comfortable that the business was taking the proper recommended precautions to protect customers and employees. I stopped in today, Sunday May 10th in the early afternoon. The cashier had a Wiseguy mask on, but at times it did NOT cover his nose. While I was waiting for my order, a customer came in to pick up two pizzas and did NOT have a mask. I questioned the mask policy with the cashier and said he was just picking up his order. I responded that the policy should apply to EVERYONE, for which he had no response. When I was leaving, that same customer came back into the store, once again without a mask. What is the point of having a policy requiring everyone to wear a mask- essentially everyone is picking up at the present time? It is akin to allowing someone smoking a cigarette into a non-smoking establishing just because they are picking up. - At a time when no business can afford to lose any additional customers due to the current global pandemic, they just...
Read moreIt’s sad for me to have to write this review because we usually like Wise Guys, and as a New Yorker, it’s the only thing in the area close to good NY-style pizza. However, our recent interaction with this shop was very disappointing. Every Friday we order a large pie…half cheese half no cheese with just sauce (wife is vegan). They always respect our request and make the pie but the other night we called our order in and the gal on the line said they couldn’t do that type of order. After explaining that we’ve been ordering that exactpie for months from them, she continued to say she couldn’t put that order in the computer. To me, that spells laziness and poor customer service. It’s not difficult to put a cheese pizza order in, turn around and say only cheese on one side. Yes, it was only 1 bad experience but the lack of consistency says a lot…onto finding the next best pizza in...
Read moreCame in at little after 8pm on Saturday night (4/9/2022). Had heard a lot about this place and seen great reviews about it, so was excited to try it. Terrible disappointment though, since neither our pizza slices nor the garlic knots were warmed up before handing them over to us. It was also my fault that I didn't check to see if they were warmed up, but I don't think I've ever needed to specifically tell any pizza place to warm up pizza slices even if I'm taking them to go. Quite the opposite, especially in NYC, where they'll warm up the slices unless you specifically tell them not to. I'll give this place another chance because the cold pizza tasted decent despite it being cold, but the staff at this location isn't doing the franchise any favors by setting...
