2022: I was excited to try this place, so we arrived for an early dinner. We started with a beer, sake, shrimp spring rolls, a side salad and rolls as apps. The spring roll order is only one, sliced in half, atop a martini glass. While tasty, we wished the portion would have been larger. The shrimp tempura roll was good with spicy mayo and wasabi, while the california roll was just bland and boring. As entrees, we ordered a katchu chicken and burrito roll. The katchu chicken was a flavorless fried chicken. While it was crispy it had no flavor at all. The fried rice it came with was pretty good though. The benti burrito was a gummy mess and did not taste good, so she decided to send it back after a single bite. As soon as we told the server, her first response is, "we don't do returns"... Not an empathetic responce, not can I get you something else... nope. We both found her comment very tacky and rude. At this point, we realize she never brought out the side salads either. So when she comes around, I ask her whether they'll also be charging us for the salads she never brought out. She then tells us they had removed the items from the bill but chose to do in a rude and loud way. Once she sets down the bill, she sarcasticly says "Yall have a GREAT day!" Remember, if you're in the service industry, which I was, you service. The quality of said service affects your tip.

Decor: 4/5 -Dimmed lighting which helps set the mood -Sushi bar is right in the center -Plenty of seating with tables that can comfortably seat 6 adults Service: 4/5 -Great service Food: 2.5/5 -Domo Tower can either be prepared by yourself or the server. I had the server prepare it. The presentation was a cylindrical tower with different layers and sauce at the bottom. A tasty dish yet a bit too generous with the sauce. Even splitting this with another person, two signature rolls was too much. -Volcano Roll is served next to a flame that burns out in less than a minute. Our server warned us to move the dish onto another plate and not to eat anything that falls onto the original plate. Overall a tasty yet heavy roll.

Ok guys, please do not support this establishment. First a little back story. My younger sister use to work at this place a while back, from the beginning she said the manager, Ryan, was very verbally abusive and would cuss her out constantly. She eventually quit Sushi Domo and it's been over a year since she's worked there and the manager still continues to call her, taunting her, harassing her, and of course cussing her out. My wife and I decided just to try the food out and yeah it was some ok sushi, but once the manager knew that I was the brother of an ex employee, he began acting extremely rude towards me and my wife. We gave this place a 1 star review and he fought with Yelp in order to get it taken off. So last night we had a group of friends that wanted to try Sushi Domo and so even though our previous experience wasn't a very pleasant one, we agreed to meet them there for dinner. Immediately after we sat down, Ryan recognized us, and confronted us about the previous 1 star review my wife and I gave Sushi Domo a couple of months back. He was again extremely rude, harassing my wife with questions and making everything unpleasant. We talked to our friends and decided not to eat here anymore with Ryan being as aggressive as he was so we left. A few moments later I received a call from my younger sister explaining that Ryan would not stop calling her until she finally picked up the phone only to give her VERBAL THREATS against me and my wife. He told her that if he sees us at Sushi Domo again that he would slap my wife and assault me. So even if the food was good and you've been coming to Sushi Domo previously. Do not support this place. Ryan is an abusive, controlling, and very aggressive person and if you ever give Sushi Domo a 1 star review and go back to the restaurant just to give it another try, remember that he looks through all the reviews and Will confront any customer that gave him a 1 star. I hope this review reaches plenty of people and I hope you decided to spend your money somewhere else instead of supporting this abusive person. Thank you all for reading the long post. And since I am aware that Ryan will read this, just letting you know that I have filed a complaint with the BBB and will push legal action for threatening me...

My wife and I drove 20+min to try this place out on a date night. NEVER AGAIN WILL WE GO HERE!! The sushi chef/ owner (John) was completely rude and self righteous. We ordered two coors lights and a bottle of Sake along with one roll at the sushi bar. I told the waitress that they might want to check their beer because it was bad and skunky ( I was not complaining nor did I ask for a new one or any other compensation). The chef over heard and asked her to get him one, after about 10 minutes he tried it. By this time we were on our second bottle of Sake and still had our first set of beers. We decided to order another roll even though the sushi was sub-par, which we paid for and never ate. I asked him his thoughts and he pursued to tell me he does not offer his opinions because people today get their feelings hurt. We laught and said you will not hurting our feelings we have think skin. He then said something rude to my wife but she fired back and corrected him thus putting him in his place before I could. This guy has no business owning or running a restaurant with his rude customer service techniques. I spent 20 plus years in the food and beverage industry doing everything from dishes to management of high-end and 5 star restaurants and resorts. After spending more than $100 + dropping a $20 cash tip to the waitress because she was great, that will be the last dollar they ever see from is. We generally drop $200 plus every time we go out to sushi 2-3 a month. He lost more then the money, he lost loyal customers that eat sushi regularly. My advice is Do Not Go Here!! Drive 20 or 30 minutes to a better establishment that deserves you hard earned money. If you do go here I recommend sitting at a table to avoid his...

Over the years I have had some bad experiences and some good experiences with this place. Like any place you visit several times, you'll always find some pros and cons, and thus I have assembled a small list of these pros and cons here.

Pros: The environment here is nice and I often go here for date nights. The lights are dimmed and the booths are pretty nice. The bar is also a good place to hang out with the guys since the chef that works at the bar is very friendly and there's a TV for entertainment also. The food is good and the presentation is amazing. Green Tea Tempura is amazing but a bit pricey. I'd still buy it though. There are also $4 special rolls on Thursday nights which is also a treat.

Cons: I mentioned on the pros section that the good was good and presentation was awesome. However, do not be fooled because the quality of the food drops dramatically if you order it take out. The special also does not apply upon take-out either. Basically if you want quality food, Dine in. That being said, the waitress are not very attentive either. I sat with an empty glass for the longest time and was ignored by the waitress when I tried to call her over. The lack of attention the waitress has also makes it difficult to even get the check. I guess this is nice when you're on a date because it gives you more time to talk to your date but there are times when I had to walk up to the front to pay the check because I just wanted to leave.

Overall, my best experiences would be when I'm with the guys at the bar talking to the chef. If I had to rate that alone, it would be a 5 star. But adding on my takeout experience and the slowness of service, I'm...
