I am so livid of what I had to experience today while trying to order some food during my lunch hour. I came in about 1:10pm wanting to order the lunch special, I told the guy at the front who was helping me that I wanted the QUESADILLAS with fajita with a small Horchata and he repeated back what I wanted which was the lunch special. It wasn’t until I got to the office and I opened my order and I seen it was incorrect so mind you I’m already upset because now I have to drive back to the restaurant and on my way there I spoke to the guy and I told him my order was incorrect. I get to the restaurant and he repeated it back saying from what he understood is I wanted the lunch special but the lunch special they offer in the restaurant is tacos with rice and beans.
So apparently when you try to order the lunch special in person there’s only ONE option they give vs when do it online, and I even showed the guy off my phone. The lunch special that was offered online reason why I wanted to quesadillas because it was an option.
So I’m thinking the restaurant is going to remake my food because the guy put my order in incorrectly and he’s waiting for me to pay telling me how much the payment is and I tell him okay well how much is the price difference since I already paid for my order? he’s telling me that I have to pay AGAIN for this new order that I want and I’m just confused because why should I have to pay for another order When the first order was put in incorrectly? I even brought the bag back with the food that was untouched so he could see I don’t think that’s fair on my end to have to pay for an order that I already paid for. I’m not gonna eat something that I didn’t order to begin with.
I told him exactly what I wanted and he assumed something different because he had no knowledge of the specials that are offered ONLINE.
So I told him you know what I’ll just call my bank on my way out I threw the food in the trash cause that’s just no way to do business.
Another restaurant would own up to their mistake on their end and remake a person’s food, and not have to charge them for that.
This used to be one of my go to places working here in Arlington, but after today I’m NEVER coming back! I’ll be telling all my co workers about it as well since they come here...
Read moreThis is the first time I dined at a place twice before writing a review. My wife and I liked the food so much, we returned in days. The food was fresh and prepared from scratch. It’s a family business. The chefs are the husband and wife. We love Mediterranean cuisine. Arlington has several good eateries for it. So how does Pita Hot compete? I think it’s the wife. Not only is she a talented chef, but a friendly hostess. Her husband is from Palestine, but she is from Ukraine! She said they serve Ukrainian dishes when they have time. But the preparation is more labor-intensive. I’m familiar with Mediterranean food. I sensed there was a slight twist to the taste. A delicious one. My wife ordered a Chicken Shawarma plate with Baba Ghanoush. I ordered a Beef Shawarma plate with Hummus. The marinated meat was tender. The vegetables were varied and generous. The rice was fluffy and fragrant. The pita bread was fresh (it’s the brand!). For me, the hummus was the tastiest in town. We both finished our plates. This was our lunch and dinner rolled into one. We dined in. Note the place has limited seating. Try not to visit when it’s busy. What about the statistics? Pita Hot had nearly 500 reviews (4.7 out of 5) at the time of writing. Those numbers are other people. Me? I finished my...
Read moreThe kabab meal was OK, but regarding the so called Shawerma, what we have eaten was not any close to be named as Shawerma, I would say it's closer to be Chipotle with some adjustments, hey you can't put cucumber with a Shawerma! in addition to a lot of many vegetables staffed in side the bread, I had to get them out to eat properly, I even pulled out so many parsley sticks, not leaves but one inche long sticks. Guys with all respect but first you need to learn and educate yourselves on how to make real Shawerma before you start selling these sandwiches that are stuffed with meat and vegetable salad. I ate Shawermas in many Arab countries and in Turkey, but yours are way far from them all. I wish you can work on it to deliver a better outcome.
PS. Thanks for understanding, but I would not complain if you used any other name except for Shawerma, because Shawerma has special standards and specific ingredients, and the meat is grilled on fire on a rotating stand, it is fixed no matter where you are, so if you wanna change or modify any of those then you will end up with a totally new product but definitely it won't be Shawerma, you can call it chicken fahita or grilled meat with salad, but if you call it Shawerma then it will...
