UPDATE: 1 MONTH LATER & still NO EMAIL/CALL/SMOKE SIGNAL... I guess corp is just as slow
LONG REVIEW ALERTOn Wed, March 26th, 2025, as I was driving from North DALLAS to the Walk On's Arlington location, I called them at 1:30pm and asked how long was it taking for PICKUP ORDERS. The guy said 15 mins. So I told him I would get my order together and call him right back.
At 1:41pm, I called back and placed a PICKUP ORDER. I ordered: 6 piece buffalo bone in wings w/ranch 2 Raging Redfish with extra sauce on the side for both 1 sub catfish instead of redfish.
Kylie (bc I asked her name on the call) said it would be READY AT 2PM! I told her I was driving in and I was on my way!! I pulled up to the restaurant at 2:05pm. Left my truck running, and went in to get the food.
Noone greeted me. Girl at bar ignored me. I had engage HER about my order.
She THEN goes to someone that ended up being Kylie. She goes back to check on my order. It's NOT ready yet, so I stand there and wait.
As I was waiting, I look out the front door and see a friend. I go to talk to them as I await the order. I returned back inside Walk Ons at 2:23pm, bc I knew it should be ready by then - right??
Once again, had to hunt someone down for help. Order was sitting at the front counter. NOONE came and got me - even though they knew I was waiting.
Per usual, I check the order - ONLY 2 ORDERS INSIDE! The wings and a dish with fried shrimp on top!
Now everyone knows that the Raging Redfish does NOT come with shrimp! And I was missing an order! It's 2:30!
Kylie goes back to fix the order. I PAITENTLY go and sit at the bar and WAITTTTT! When she comes back out, she slightly tries to argue with me about the order, and I nicely explain to her that regardless the ONLY order you had right was the wings. You gave me a WHOLE nother order and you were MISSING an order!! If I would have paid w/o looking in the bag … *sigh #wudabeenhellapissed
Furthermore, I explain to her that it took me LESS time to drive there from Dallas then it has take to GET MY FOOD! I also was ONLY at THAT restaurant bc I was going to visit my elderly step mom who that day happened to her BIRTHDAY and this was our (my stepmom/her husband ,& I) LUNCH! IT IS 2:45PM AT THIS POINT… I stressed that I was wasting precious time at that dang restaurant INSTEAD of spending it with my family. ANDD I had to be back in Dallas by 6:30pm for another meeting… so the clock was ticking for me!
So THEN and only THEN does she say, we'll take off 2 of the 3 meals for you!
Oh -- but we are not done!
2nd round of the food comes out. Sauces are missing. My catfish and rice are n one container and the broccoli is separate. My stepmom's meal is all in one container. (Like MINE should be) I think nothing of it (then). She goes to get the missing sauces and I walk over the front door register so I will be ready to PAY AND LEAVE!
N.O.P.E… she tells me my total is almost $20? For some $8.99 wings?? Then she says we charged you for the sauce and the wings… I hand her a $20 bill and ask for my receipt.
NO CASH IN THE REGISTER!!!! (I swear I cant make this stuff UP) So she has to go to the BACK to get change… I look over the receipt and realize I am being CHARGED for BROCCOLI that ALREADY comes with my DISH! Adios Mio!!!
By this point, my patience…. Its 3:00pm!!! I have been at this restaurant for an HOUR!
I stop her before she gets to the back… she SAYS that even though she was the one who TOOK my order, she didn't ring it up. MORE EXCUSES. MORE INCOMPENTENCE!
Then she has to call over another associate to help her fix the RECEIPT AGAIN! But she is SUPPOSED TO BE THE MANAGER!! #Icant
Now mind you - this whole time I am being nice and patient. Seriously… SOOO NICE and SOOOO PATIENT. But I was at my wit's end… Wouldn't you be???
I LEFT THAT RESTAURANT AT 3:10PM!!!! From 1:41pm - 3:10pm!!
All I can say is I will NEVER EVER EVER go back to that location with that level of customer service and LACK of attention to detail. And this was MY FIRST TIME DINING WITH THEM!
What a WAY to leave...
Read moreIf humiliation was a person it would be me. So, I went for a job interview at the Walk On’s establishment today. I arrived 35min early so I checked in with the only staff member I could find , which was the bartender. There was not a hostess so I couldn’t get seated anywhere else. I sat down I ordered a Tito’s club soda , a water , and an ahi tuna salad. As im eating and conversing with the 7 or 8 people on my side of the bar and the bartender , a woman by the name of Kelsey comes behind the bar walks up to me , puts her hand around my drink and says I was going to interview you but since you ordered this drink I’m not going to & she walks off. I was literally floored and felt so embarrassed. Not only did she say that to a 37 year old woman who is spending money in that establishment on food and a drink that was way under the LEGAL limit , she wasn’t professional enough to take me to a separate table and deliver that judgement. The guy next to me (Steven) was a regular and he was so uncomfortable that he went and spoke to the catering manager and asked her if that was a policy. Turns out NO it’s not a policy. The woman stated that it’s just frowned upon. Well in my opinion so are black people but that’s considered discrimination if you won’t hire a person for their race. So for the rest of my lunch the entire bar area was talking about how rude and uncomfortable and flat out wrong this Kelsey lady was. Of course everyone was trying to console me as if I lost a child or something but at least they were kind and sensitive and caring. I’m positive her actions made everybody entirely uncomfortable. The bartender Alex was super polite about it and I appreciate her addressing it . However I’m feeling like this is a lawsuit bc no way in my entire 25 years of working in the service industry have I ever experienced such despicable behavior in a woman. I’ve never had an individual take that sort of approach over something that’s not even a policy. Mind you , it’s my day off and legally I’m allowed to do exactly what I did. So moral of the story is , if Kelsey feels I’m not worthy of a job interview , I don’t feel she’s worthy of her job either. And one last thing , the ahi tuna salad...
Read moreIt’s been years since I visited Walk On! Their food is awesome as always. It’s the service that becomes a concern each time.
Our waiter started out nice and friendly. Once our food came out she was less attentive as she should have been. Low on water, dirty silverware, messed up order to start! I asked for salmon, green beans, and red beans no rice. Granted, I am aware of mistakes in the kitchen.
But, I had to flag down two servers to get her because she was flirting with some young man 3 booths down. Every time she helped a table he would make loud noises like a child. Interrupting the guest!
She (Maddy) then retuned to the guy table that was loud moaning and groaning to lean all over the booth flirting instead of handling her tables.
After the other servers went to get her attention, she still took her time to come see what the issue were.
I had eaten majority of my salmon and green beans. I was three bites from being done before she came by to see the incorrect order. (Red beans no rice)
Finally time for the check and she had us sitting there for 15 minutes while she did side work. She made eye contact with me several times and ignored our body language that we were ready to go.
When I checked out I left no tip because her service was horrible. She got upset and stated “ you be blessed ma’am” with an attitude like she deserved a tip for being absent from her tables for long periods of time.
No ma’am I will not tip my hard earned money to someone that ignores their customer to flirt for long minutes at a table. We’re just as important as the customer she’s bent...
