I'm writing this while outside of this Domino's, about to pick up yet another great pizza order. I am so bad about writing reviews when I know a business and a team of employees deserve it; finally, I'd like to share my experience with this Domino's location and this great team of people.
A few weeks back, I stopped by for a pizza order for myself and my family, just a normal night. However, unbeknownst to me, half the town had decided to also order pizza that night; just of their own volition, it seemed. This Domino's was slammed, with more orders on the screen then I had ever seen, a string of tickets as long as I am tall, and customers waiting as delay times were obviously longer than expected.
Maybe some of my fellow customers that night wrote less than stellar reviews based on that experience, but I saw the exact opposite: I saw an entire team of trained employees working absolutely as quickly and efficiently as they could. I saw the man at the counter taking orders with such poise and an uncommon bedside manner, even as he was apologizing for things out of his control. I saw the team in the back moving with an almost ballet-like conservation of movement and efficiency, churning out pizzas faster than ever, quickly and doggedly, but without complaint. It was the best I'd ever seen a pizza place function, bar none.
Since then, to say the least, this Domino's has earned my business, and I've tried to patronize them exclusively at every opportunity. If you are trying to choose in this difficult market of multiple shops and restaurants and locations at your fingertips, let me be the random stranger that recommends this Domino's to you. I began my order at 7:12 PM this evening whenever I left work. My work is about half an hour away and I imagine I might beat the driver to my door. I figured with contactless delivery, I could be a couple minutes late without issue. Well, I definitely beat the driver home. I didnât receive my order until 9:10 PM. Thatâs not a typo. Nearly two hours before my dinner was delivered.
âBut Walter, you said youâre not blaming the customers!â And Iâm not. Iâm blaming the festering, hemorrhaging wound that this company as a whole represents. This company provides a horrible incentive for employees to provide any chance of employee retention. Whatâs their solution? Add $1 to the usual âdealâ for each item purchased. In addition, they reduced the number of wings you get by 25% for the same price. I am beyond finished with buying from any Dominoâs. They only care about the bottom dollar, but they donât realize thatâs whatâs going to cause their downfall. They need to provide better pay, benefits, and morale for their workers and stop trying to bandage with price increases.
Best of luck because I enjoy the food when I get it, but waiting two hours for dinner is beyond...
   Read moreI ordered pizza at the Richardson road Arnold location. Ordered at 5:14 pm. At 6:30 I decided to call and see if the order was ready yet. When the guy answered I told him I had ordered over an hour ago he interrupted me in mid sentence and said that sounds about the regular wait time for a weekend. I said I just wanted to check and see if it was on the way yet. Apparently he checked for my phone number and said I donât have an order from that number. I said I ordered on line from this phone. He said you must have ordered from another store, that happens all the time. I said what store is this. He said the Richardson rd store. I said that is the store I ordered from. He basically told me I had to be wrong and it will be coming from another store. After I hung up I checked my phone it had the Richardson rd location. Looked at my PayPal. They had accepted my payment. Called back. Same guy answered asked me to hold and when I said no he put me on hold. As a hung up the delivery car pulled up and delivered my order.
