I NEED to share our experience today at the Arnold Home Depot location... Our washing machine stopped working and we were on the hunt for something new. My significant other and I started at our local Home Depot. We walked in, headed to the appliance section and encountered Matt. He walked up to us, introduced himself with a smile, and proceeded to ask questions, give input, and with a vast knowledge, answer any questions that we had. He let us know that they didn't currently have the washer/dryer in stock that we were looking at and that it could possibly be delivered in a couple of days. We let him know that we were wanting to try and find something today and that we were going to shop around a bit and thanked him for all of his help. He let us know that he'd be there today till 4 just in case we came back. We found ourselves at Lowe's, looking at the same appliances as we waited for someone to speak with. We waited, and waited, finally I found and pushed the service button that announces over the store intercom that someone needs help. A man walks out from the back, looks irritated, and proceeds to shut off the intercom. He turns to both of us and I said, "we'd like some help with the washers and dryers." His response was curt as he asked, "which ones?" He just scanned them, and told us that they're not in stock, we tried another set, scanned again, (same outcome) not in stock, then proceeded to start a full on conversation, over us, with another co-worker. Needless to say, we left. My other half asked what my feelings were on just ordering them online from Home Depot and I said, we need to go back up and get them from Matt. We went back up to find Matt around 3:30. I was never so happy to see a smiling face. As soon as he saw us, he walked over, welcomed us back and asked what he could do for us. While going through the process of purchasing the washer and dryer, we talked about family, kids, and other things that just made you feel comfortable, valued and taken care of. After finalizing everything, Matt gave us his card and asked us to call if we have any issues and just to let him know how the delivery went. I couldn't leave without giving him a hug, he is an outstanding employee and I wish there were more like him. Thank you Matt for all of your help today. You, sir, are truly appreciated! BEST...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePurchased a tile floor with installation. Measured and quote completed on Aug 15, 2020. Was told the installers were behind and I should expect 4- 6 weeks. Began trying to contact them at 6 weeks. They never answer the phone and only once have they returned a call when I leave a message. Finally, two weeks ago they called to set a date, which was to be tomorrow, 10/23. I stripped everything out of the bathroom in preparation, as I agreed to do, so I now have one bathroom. Then they called at 3:45 to postpone for another week. I'm not confident they will meet this commitment, since prior commitments have not been met. I am not in a good position on timing or I would go elsewhere for my floor. For sure I am no longer planning to use HD for anything and am advising others to do the same. Follow-up: The installers also postponed, at the last minute, the next installation date. At this point I called Home Depot Home Services for an intervention. They were cooperative and had to lean pretty hard on the installer themselves. They had the same problem I had getting calls returned. But finally the installer called with a third install date- today, Nov. 3. They have not cancelled and I think they are going to show up. Will update. Update at noon today: Installer showed up at Home Depot to do the install, but then called me to say HD had lost materials. HD denies that and I believe them. But installer left HD and they can't get in contact with the install company to find...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went to home depot to price match some things online from Lowes. I called home depots customer service the night prior to make sure that they would price match an out of state Lowes and they stated yes they would. I got to Home Depot and I asked before I did anything and the first girl said they do not price match at all to online stores only ad to ad(she even said they wont price match to home depot online). So I went over to customer service where I walked up to a fowl language conversation between two employees and asked the lady the same question and she said yes we have always priced match to online prices for other out of state stores. Then she seen what I was price matching and seen it was $10 off an item and then was like wait I don't think we can do that... The manager Bill came over and said if it was a dollar or two I would (which I had other items that were less than a dollar off and he said no) he said that I could come back when the main manager was there. I said this was such a waste of my time and I spend a lot of money there. They can mark their prices up $10 but they cant price match for a now former loyal customer. No one was on the same page and they seemed to not know what they were talking about or doing. I left very upset because I went went through a lot of work by even calling their customer service and making sure I had everything in order so I didn't waste my time or theirs, but they ended up wasting mine and I will...
