Branch Street Deli and Pizzeria — Restaurant in Arroyo Grande

This was a wonderful local favorite where you really won't find a lot of tourists. Very relaxed, in the middle of a mix of restaurants and just a block from the town hall.

I didn't like the order first and seat yourself presentation for an indoor/outdoor establishment, but the food was amazing, I personally had a meat lover's thin crust pizza from a traditional brick oven, with a slice of dark chocolate cake topped with a coconut accent.

The pizza was light and wasn't greasy but felt fresh and natural with fresh ingredients or no processed ingredients, personal opinion! The chocolate cake was not overly sweet. Actually, it was barely sweet. It was a strong dark chocolate taste with the sweetness coming from the coconut confection as a topper on the cake. I would say it was an elegant dark chocolate cake for select palets. If you're looking for something for a sweet tooth, choose something else, but I enjoyed its subtle elegance.

A special surprise was a local band performing on the outdoor seating area as if live entertainment is just part of every day of doing business.

This place is really cute but unfortunately we had a terrible experience. Waited 30 minutes for our food (3 people) and 45 minutes for a cup of coffee. When we went to ask about the coffee, we were given a cup of cold coffee that the waiter admitted was the bottom of the coffee pot. He offered to make us a new batch or microwave the cold cup. We asked for fresh coffee but he forgot to start the batch. We had to ask 2 more people before we finally got one single cup of hot coffee 20 more minutes later. Someone came and apologized to us and offered free dessert. We weren’t interested and no one followed up until we had stood up to leave. I was tempted to ask if I could get credit towards a future dessert but was afraid I’d be stuck waiting another 45 minutes 🙃 At the end another waiter came to clear my mom’s plate and dropped a knife on her white pants. Waiters were busy and kept bumping into our chairs. The whole thing was just chaotic. Which is sad because I was excited to visit and it’s so pretty! Food was pretty good, too, but I’m not sure I’ll be up to trying...

This place is amazing, I love it so much. There's lots of food to taste. And they plate it super nicely too, it's paper plates which makes it better, and they have coca cola too, they have salads and lots of hamburgers, different kinds of meats, like salmon, a red meat. And the buns they cook them, so they are crunchy too. And the fries they serve are salty, like seasoned with garlic and onion powder, super good. There's salmon burger, so so good, would definitely eat it again, and they have a BLT, they give extra crisy bacon. I got a burger with caramelized onions, and 1000 island dressing on riy bread, added lettuce to it, literally so good, like wow. The have 2 family bathrooms, with loads of mirrors, kinda clean. The hospitality was great, super nice people, loved them. They have hot sauces and ketchup too. They have dinner options and lunch options too, it's just so good, I would definitely go...
