WOW. Not sure if it's the employee's are writing these reviews, but I'm a customer or was. Locals said this was the place to go. I went. I say don't go. Sauce had no flavor........seriously NO FLAVOR. Pizza overall was blah. We ordered a large....oops. I ment an XL the size of a large with XL price. kids said it was just ok. What kid doesn't think all Pizza is the greatest. Oh and we waited over an hr for our Pizza. They state on there opinion card, good Pizza isn't fast food. I have had GREAT Pizza in 30 min while the place was very busy. Its not an excuse to be slow. NOT HAPPY. And I have pictures of my daughter falling asleep at the table waiting. Seriously.........may be a local favorite. Locals you can keep it. Your missing out on much much better Pizza places. And you kids won't fall asleep waiting. Very Disappointed Ps The gentleman cleaning tables, boxing food asking us if there was anything we needed. AWESOME JOB! You earned 1 full star for your service.

I have lived here for 32 years and never tried it until today! Who would have known. Located in the village of AG. Outdoor heated patio, indoor seating over sawdust flooring. Decorated strangly with Christmas lights and random trinkets but it works. Very comfortable atmosphere, love it. Other reviews on the pizza were mixed but in my opinion it was great! Not greasy and loaded with toppings. I mean seriously loaded. They have peanuts for purchase and you throw the shells on the floor, kind of fun! Player piano as well for $1 per play. Sounds old and creepy so it's wonderful. Staff was very friendly. Our first visit and they went out of their way to accommodate us and our large party. We now have a new favorite pizza place, thank you Klondike Pizza! I give it five slices! 🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕

We really enjoyed our time at Klondike Pizza in Arroyo grande. Our wait person Catherine was very nice and helpful as this was our first time there. They do have Coca-Cola products so we each got diet Coke and Mama ordered the lunch special with a small pizza, French bread and a side salad. I really enjoyed my pizza I got sausage and mushroom and it was one of the better pizzas that I've had in a while. You can get peanuts and just throw the shells on the ground and they had a lot of interesting things to look at inside. I would definitely recommend this place.

I would give this establishment 0 stars, three 1 star is because the food honestly is good (although for what it is..its WAY overpriced).

Atmosphere is VERY loud, so if your looking for a nice place to catch up with a friend...or general peace and quiet, dont go here.

I called in an order a few days ago... my total for 2 adults and 2 children was almost 60.00, okay..we splurged for the kids sake..

When I walked in the manager Olivia was yelling at a young female employee telling her DO NOT ANSWER THAT PHONE AGAIN IF IT RINGS... huge turn off for all your customers to hear.

An older couple walked to the counter as j was waiting and asked if they could just get their pizza to go, as they had waited an hour and it still wasn't out. Olivia offered a gift card, and the woman stated they are from out of town and wouldn't be using it, Olivia's reply sas... "you can just give it to someone you know who lives here" I stepped in and said...can't you just return her money, she did.

Second couple walks up....they are now late for the melodrama because the pizza they ordered to go was almost an hour wait..

I understand they are a busy establishment, HOWEVER... you can see into the kitchen and it was a mess..orders going out wrong...or not at all.

In the 30 minutes I watched everything going on around me, I can say that if the Olivia should NOT be in charge of a shift alone....she was flustered...scatter brained... I heard a total of 9 people say they would never be nack.

Again, food is good. But not for the price..or...

We have consistently ordered from this restaurant every time we are in the area and tell people about it. Unfortunately, we have become increasingly more unsatisfied with each recent visit. This last visit sealed the fate and we will no longer be a patron of this establishment. We ordered an extra large vegetarian pizza, a couple of salads, and some extra sauces. When we got back to our place and started eating we both agreed it was awful, so much so we decided to return it. The pizza was soggy and tasteless, the salads were skimpy and bland and the extra sauce was like a dab of cold tomato paste. The whole thing was a disaster. Yuck. So we drive all the way back to the restaurant to return this catastrophe to be told by the manager that we could not have refund but could have a certificate to order another pizza at a later date. Noooo thanks! When we pushed the return, the manager told us she had to speak with another manager. Now a principal over monetary issue, we were told we couldn't have a refund on the salad because we ate some of it and no refund for the $1 sides of sauce! OMG. Seriously? Losing customers over $1 sides?!?! It was the most ridiculous thing I have ever experienced. Honestly if this was properly handled, like "We are sorry you are not satisfied, here's a refund and we look forward to seeing you again soon," kind of thing, we would have definitely been back and continued to be patrons. But because of the way this was handled we are...

Here are some of the pros and cons of Klondike's I've found over my multiple visits:

PROS: Their pizza is, generally, pretty good. There are some days where it doesn't taste as fresh, but it's not like it tastes old or rotten or anything like that. Also, free refills on soda is a plus. The service is also good. Staff are friendly for the most part, and the pizza doesn't come out too slow, but during busy hours you may have to wait a bit.

CONS: The atmosphere is terrible. It's an old tradition to order some peanuts and drop the shells on the floor. Many many years ago this was fine; the restaurant just sweeped the few that were on the floor. But soon this became a really deep layer, and even some of the chair and table legs are just sunken in this disgusting layer of people's peanut shells. I don't know how this isn't a health code violation. Absolutely gross and disgusting. (Don't wear nice shoes or pants here, trust me!)

Besides the peanut-covered floor, the rest of the establishment is also sad in the atmosphere category. Ceiling is low, which gives a claustrophobic basement feel, and some of the furniture is simply worn out. Alaskan decor is nice, though.

Overall I would try to find alternative pizza shops like Palo Mesa, Mountain...
