First and last time for the Village Cafe. My husband loves corned beef and orders it most times we eat out for breakfast. The corned beef served here looked like something from a dog food can. My husband said he thought it had been watered down or had something else added because there was very little corned beef flavor. I tasted it and agreed, maybe the cook dumped in the potato water or something else to stretch the meat, there wasn't much in the way of potatoes in it. It certainly did not taste like brisket. I asked the waitress what the corned beef was made of and she said they cooked the brisket themselves. Does this look like brisket? I said it didn't look like brisket and she said that the cook grinds it up and maybe she should tell customers that before they order. I doubt that we were the first to complain. My husband ate the eggs and some potatoes but very little of the corned beef. The waitress said the owner does not allow adjustments on the check. The picture is what he left uneaten. Disgusting.

Village Cafe in Arroyo Grande is an absolute gem! Nestled in the charming downtown old town, the cafe offers a delightful ambiance that perfectly complements its fantastic breakfast offerings. Both my wife and I were thoroughly impressed with the quality and taste of the food. To top it off, the prices were quite reasonable, making it a great choice for a delicious and affordable meal. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!

The Turkey Bacon Avocado Melt was absolutely delicious! Grilled to perfection on sourdough, the crispy bread paired beautifully with the melted Jack cheese, savory turkey, and smoky bacon. The avocado added a creamy touch that brought everything together. The fries were perfectly crispy and well-seasoned, making for the perfect side. This daily special is a must-try—I’ll definitely be back for it!

Excellent food and customer service. First time going here, and I definitely was not disappointed. The food was excellent! I ordered the chile verde omelette with biscuits and gravy and loved it. The physical establishment itself is very small, yet quaint and cozy with that classic AG Village motiv.

My wife and son ordered blueberry pancakes and linguica, and they were quite satisfied as well. We were impressed by our server, as she was very friendly and prompt. Overall, very satisfied with this restaurant and I will absolutely be returning in the near future! (I'll be trying the Cowboy Burrito next time. I saw a customer eating it and it looked absolutely delectable smothered in...

Went in on a Sunday morning, mildly busy but servers were overwhelmed and were clearly bothered. We ordered basic pancake, scrambled eggs and bacon plate for my kids and the eggs were runny and not fully cooked. We also ordered the special, which was huevos rancheros and the taste was edible at best. Our coffee was refilled only once as we basically paid our check, which they also don't mention that credit has a "non-cash" fee of $2.50; this is included in their tip suggestion. Subtract that and gross down the total because the bill was not itemized to get your actual total. Would not consider this place a 4.5 and...
