My favorite donut place. One of my favorite places to go. It’s always worth the travel down to Asbury for these donuts. Incredibly amazing customer service with very efficient workers. What I like about the donuts is that it’s made to order, it’s fresh. It is small inside but you are not in there for long but unless you can’t decide what you want that is. They are cake donuts. I like how they don’t put frosting on both sides, been to places that have and it makes it so hard to eat. These are just right! Not only that they are so awesome with unique names and so delicious! Apple cider donuts are a hit there! They also sell Holly Jolly Jams, AP Roastry coffee, merchandise, cold drinks in fridge, and dog treats. They have vegan + regular donuts to chose from and they even just started doing gluten free. One of my favorite things is how I can create my own donut, I like to mix it up and they are very nice about that. They always have specials going on! Instagram is the place to follow to be kept in the know! Purple Glaze is a wonderful place to have in Asbury Park aka music town, the donuts are named after music! So cool! They even have table outside to sit on, and they do custom donuts for birthdays, weddings, and so on! Chocolate donuts on Sundays! They even have blueberry donuts sometimes. We ordered Purple Glaze donuts for our wedding welcome bags. We knew they were an Asbury Park staple and thought it was the best way to welcome our guests to Asbury for our wedding - and it sure was! We had a wonderful experience working with Mary and the rest of the Purple Glaze team, who made the ordering and pick-up process so easy for us, packaged it all beautifully, and were always available to talk through our questions. We ended up ordering their perfectly-sized mini donuts (powdered, purple glaze, chocolate iced, and cinnamon and sugar). They were also very accommodating in making and packing a few gluten-free donuts separately. The donuts were absolutely delicious and we got so many compliments from our guests about them!

Mary and the team also made the cutest bride and groom-themed donuts for me and my fiancé to enjoy. It was the sweetest and such a thoughtful surprise! We couldn't recommend Purple Glaze enough if you are ordering donuts in bulk or for an event. Wow!!!! That's generally all I can say when I take my first bite of all there donuts. The staff is always so inviting and make you feel right at home. The selection of specialty donuts or custom options you can make are great and the execution of making the product is always spot on. I have yet to try a donut from here that did now impress me. The pricing is on point with most other donut shops or specialty bakeries like this and there is usually a little bit of a line but always well worth the wait. Many times my wife and I have been given extra donuts just for having to wait a few extra moments, things like that are never expected but always appreciated when it comes to customer service.
