Acropolis Pizza Café — Restaurant in Asheville

I ordered a chicken gyro combo with a greek salad for the side. What I could eat of the gyro was pretty good, however one of the grilled chicken tenders on it was straight up pink inside. It was probably okay, but it ruined my appetite. The lettuce on the gyro was just iceburg, which for an $8 sandwhich is really cheap and lazy in my opinion. The "greek" salad and "large" drink bumped my order up to $12. The drink would have been called a medium anywhere else, so that felt like a rip off. The salad was what really ticked me off (aside from the underdone chicken): it consisted of more iceburg lettuce, far too many onions, two cherry tomatoes, one greek olive, cheese sprinkled on top, and far to much dry seasonings on top. It was dry and felt like i was eating straight basil. It didnt have any sort of dressing. So i wound up paying $13 (with tip) for half of an average chicken gyro and a medium sprite. I will admit that I didn't bring any of this to the attention of the staff, as I am a big weenie who detests confrontation... I’ve always enjoyed my experience but recently things have gone downhill and FAST!!! Recently the pizza has been undercooked and sad Looking. This past visit I called ahead 45 minutes before I got there to make sure my order was ready exactly at 4pm (I work at the outlets and don’t get a long lunch break) i ordered the same thing I always get and every time I’ve called ahead it’s normally ready (except the past few times) when arrive I see them putting my order in the oven and I was barked at by the most unpleasant employee and told it was going to be 15 minutes. I wouldn’t have been so annoyed if they seemed busy But the food court was empty and the “chef “ was singing and acting like i didn’t have anything better to do then wait and listen to his screeching to the song “Forget you by CeeLo Green” only wish I could forget his singing . The only reason I continued to try and eat at this place is because it’s one of the only “food” options but i’m over in the bad customer service and soggy undercooked pizza. *edited to add that Brandon from Acropolis has reached out to me and corrected the issue. He was very concerned and uninformed of the problem we had with our pizza in December and made it right. I am changing my review to reflect the professional matter in which he handled the manner.

Placed an order for two pizzas on December 14th for delivery through GrubHub. Pizzas arrived in a timely manner the delivery service was excellent. The pizzas however were less than satisfactory. The cheese pizza that we ordered for the children was acceptable the pepperoni that was ordered for the adults had a crust that was burnt so bad that the pizza was not edible. I called Acropolis at the outlet mall and ask to speak with the manager to express my dissatisfaction with my burnt pizza. His response was oh I knew it was burnt but I didn't think it was that bad.
