McDonald's — Restaurant in Asheville

McDonald's of Enka. Sure, it seems like, when something can go wrong, the fast food industry, McDonald's is the poster child of "what can go wrong, will go wrong". Especially the Enka McDonald's.

However, I will admit, the last three or four visits to the Enka McDonald's, the results were very satisfying. The food was good and my drink was on target. For fast food, sure that's nearly unprecedented.

You're taking a gamble when you choose the drive thru. Will you receive the right food? Will the fries be fresh, will they be salted? The burgers, the fish, and chicken, I'm ecstatic with these sandwiches, if they're prepared to service the customer's order with fresh ingredients to the extent they can.

I do know McDonald's hasn't seen an apple pie recently, but the strawberry pie...very satisfying.

On occasion, no napkins, nor straws have made the bag, given to me through the drive thru. But it seems the team that has assembled in Enka, has gained a good new reputation in gaining the trust of its customers.

But tomorrow is another day, right? Yes it is, and I will not be surprised if something wii go wrong and I will end up getting someone else's food. But I promise to give another accurate account when that time comes. Until then, I will just savor the flavor of a pleasant run through the...

One because there is nothing lower. Our visit was between 4:30 and 5pm on a Monday and it was NOT busy in the restaurant. Floors and tables were filthy in the dining room. Beverage center was disgusting. No sweet tea on the counter. No cups for ketchup. Ice cream machine was not working. No apple pies. Customer in front of me asked for a refund for the ice cream she paid for. The "manager" gave her attitude by rudely snatching her receipt off of the counter. Lots of employees standing around but nobody maintenancing the dining room for a good half hour after we sat down. BTW...there were CHILDREN running around in the kitchen. I doubt we would EVER stop at this restaurant again. Somebody SERIOUSLY needs to take a look at the management here. EDITED TO ADD: we just visited this location again a few days ago and it has had a complete 360° turn. Kudos! The management now is very upbeat and it shows in the employees. Everyone was polite and super efficient. They counter person came put and clean tables as soon as he had a break in orders. Everything was virtually...

It was a day much like any other. I pulled into the futuristic drive-thru with a full blown big mac attack. It was intense, I'll tell you. I was hungry and depleted of almost all of my daily meat quotient. I looked around frantically for the clown. You know the one, bright red hair like the center of a star being born. A smile so big and red red in contrast to his whitest of white face. White as a fishes neck. Whiter than teeth. And gloves of equal witness for some reason only known to the clown and the clown alone. What the hell was his name? "CHET"? " KENT'? I think it was Kent Anold MacDonalze? Yeah, im sure it was that. But he was no where to be seen. I had one last chance effort to pull off the Big Mac cop. I had to go through a regular human. And you know what? It was better than I could of ever imagined and more. 3 minutes and 7 seconds later , I recieved the biggest of all macs. Like it was destiny. Like , I'd always been holding the triple bun double beef and specialist of all sauces sauces shredded lettuce goodness. Or , was it holding me? Guess...
